Orange Peel

Just curious as I was reading about detailing products on here and I was shocked to hear the amount of stories about poor paint quality, orange peel etc.

 

I was just wondering if anyone has orange peel on a zed which HASN'T been resprayed? Is this something that can manifest itself due to poor paintwork protection / detailing or is it only a problem which arises after a respray?

much more likely after a respray imo, due to the wafer thin nissan paint its very unlikely you will see orange peel

This was on a sprayed bumper though, not an original nissan paint job.

Exactly what I was looking for thanks Ian.

 

I now know what orange peel is and mine certainly doesn't have that. I know I've checked my car top to bottom but was just worried i'd missed a trick and not spotted something.

No probs.. you don't know how hard it was to stop myself taking a photo of my car with fruit on the roof

Those bodyshop pics are terrible, that aint orange peel that's just crap workmanship
