mc Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 with the recent cold weather there's been a bit of ice on the windows some mornings... I'm wondering what people do if they try to open the door and the window wont drop cos its frozen solid? will it cause damage to the window or motor? its not a problem when my car is tucked up in the garage but i'm stuck in a hotel at the moment! cheers Mike Quote

stanski Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Always hated electric windows this time of year - never used to open them until the car had defrosted - which can be a pain! could be worse some of the early Audi TT's used to open their windows at 03:00am in the morning for no reason! ha ha ha Quote

Its been fairly hard frost last couple of nights and not had any trouble, but it will get a lot colder yet! I just scrape normally, not a fan of chemicals or hot water myself, hope this isnt a big winter issue! Quote

It worked on the mirrors as well which were frozen closed! Quote
