martinmac Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 From memory, the only options are to use a transmitter attachment or one of those casette connectors. Yep, Mike is usually right. http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... light=ipod Quote

martinmac Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 I have a roadster without bluetoothe so will pass on that one. Have a read of this and other areas in the Wiki. Its US though. http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/IPod_wit ... und_System Quote
Stew Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 It would be worth a try. Not really sure if it'd work though. Quote
M13KYF Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 don't think you can play music through the bluetooth. There is now way to engage it unless you wish to dial a number. Quote
AK350Z Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Correct, the Zeds bluetooth doesn't support A2DP, the stereo over bluetooth functionality Quote
Rentech Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 I use one of these, but I'm a cheap skate http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gear-4-PG150-GE ... B00154O984 Had it in my last car as wasn't too impressed. Tried it in the Z and sounds great. Plugs into the rear 12V socket and the transmitter and ipod sit in the little storage area. £9.50 inlcudin p+p. Just need to sort out a remote control now. Quote
R35LEE Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 An 'FM Modulator' is your only hope with the standard Bose head unit I’m afraid. Think everyone has looked for a better solution but we are stuck with this. You can play state of the art cassette tapes though!! Quote
From A to Zed Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 You could try one of these; http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165635 I'm going to pick one up on Saturday but I won't get round to fitting it just yet...If you trust them Halfords will fit it for free. There is also a guide in the 'guides' section. Cheers, Matt Quote
sake-bito Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 I use a belkin tunebase FM. I have the i phone and its awesome. It auto tells you what the clearest station is to tune your head unit into. Only option IMO STOO Quote
sake-bito Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Oh, but it means that the phone is behind you!! STOO Quote
R35LEE Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 I may have spoke too quickly about fm transmitter / modulator being only option. Will update on monday when they get back to me. I'm being told it's an aux interface unit even though there is no aux input on the bose stereo. He said 100% not through ariel. If this turns out to be the magic box we have all been looking for would anyone fancy a group buy of say min 5-10 of us so a discount can be obtained? Will let you know if it's all bollox and update soon. Quote
R35LEE Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 Spoke to supplier today. The unit did exist but was withdrawn and is discontinued due to problems!! Sorry guys I tried. Quote
