Arkwright Posted April 9, 2009 Share Posted April 9, 2009 upon entering Billing you pass through a security gate where you pay ( a small version of the peage on the European autoroutes) tell them which event you've come for and how many nights you are stopping. Discounts are available for different events on site. You can tent, caravan or motorhome. (no electric hook ups where we are). No fires. BBQ's clear of the ground. There are speed bumps, just the rolls of tarmac accross the road. They didn't bother my 260 and I'm sure my 350 will be ok. If you are worried scout out the bumps first iirc you can drive round some. Bear in mind that many many car clubs have annual meetings here so the bumps can't be that bad. Just prior to the entrance is a petrol station which also has a car wash facility. There are various eating places or bring your own. Toilet/ablutions are good but sometimes get crowded at various times of the morning/evening depending on how busy the site is. The security people are very sharp. You don't get bothered at all by them unless you're naughty, then they jump on you. No messing, no wheelies, no ott sound systems and leave the ducks alone! Note what I said and if you get to a bump size it up. We've been going to Billing for years without problems as have many other modified car clubs. The actual meet was pretty boring though (granted the cars were vauxhall calibra's! So not quite the awe inspiring sex machines we are affiliated with!).
