Is that the amp? no wonder it sounds rubbish.

 

That is quite a slim sub speaker, can a normal deeper sub be fitted in place of the OEM one or does it have to be in a box taking up space in the boot?

A deeper sub will fit in place of the OEM one but the OEM amp wont power it properly. I think I used a 1000watt sub thought so maybe a lower power one will?!
