How do I resize a photo

May seem thick to some but could anybody tell me how to resize a photo to use as my avatar?

Open a photobucket a/c, if you not alrady done so, load up your pic you want to resize and you will see the options that includes an 'avatar' size

Oh, and your no different to everyone else who has to this for the first time

I use image resizer:

Embeds into windows explorer and you just right click on a picture and select resize.
