Handsfree Phone connection problem

My 55 plate 350z has factory fitted handsfree phone facility but Samsung phone will not connect to it despite being bluetooth paired . Ive been to Nissan to see if there is a softwear update for the init but that was a No. Does anyone have any suggestions please.

I recall seeing something that anything Android 5 or above is not compatible. I may be wrong but given the year of release etc I can't see modern OS's being a certainty to work.

Think it had more of an issue with it being Samsung. Back in 2016 I had a phone with Android 7 and it worked fine.
