Windscreen insert trim (top)

it keeps coming out at the passenger side , i dont think its letting rain in .

 

but any way what to do about it? 

 

it seems  to be not very flexible and i dont want to try pulling it all out  without a plan of action .

 i should think its original although the screen was replaced before i bought it (7 or 8 yrs ago)

The best way round this is to secure with some black Tiger seal or similar.

just to check ...that doesn't affect the paintwork?

assuming i don't smear it all over the roof.

Yeah it is paint friendly, just remove any that goes on the paint very quickly before it cures.

Sorted. removed strip completley , cleaned it and the recess which it sits in , applied a thin bead of u pol Tiger seal in the gap and pushed the trim back in  without sliding it around having positioned it carefully , only a small amount on the roof .... quickly wiped off.
