DanFino Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 I've been chatting with a guy locally about buying his old Scorpion backbox. From the looks of it though it has a different fitment to the stock backbox. There is no flange just a sleeve type fitment where it would connect to the car's pipework. Do I cut the flange off the pipe that abuts the backbox to fit it or is this simply not compatible with my car? 2003 JDM FairladyZ "T". Otherwise unmodified. Thanks in advance. Quote
SHEZZA Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 I’m sure you’d need the scorpion mid section to be able to fit it, or you could get a custom one made from an exhaust specialist. Quote
Umster Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 As above, you need the mid pipe. Personally I wouldn't bother, unless you're getting a whole system fitted or a bespoke system made you're missing out. Exhausts are designed and manufactured as a unit, not as components. You'll want a whole system, or if budget/time is tight, get short tails for a better sound. Quote

Umster Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 (edited) I get a sneaky feeling 350z don't have short tails available? Google isn't helping me here. Edited July 17, 2019 by Umster Quote
DanFino Posted July 17, 2019 Author Posted July 17, 2019 Yeah same. Can't find anything other than 370z. Quote
