mr v6 Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 Sounds like pulley / alternator whine to me, possibly power steering. Have you checked it with the bonnet open to narrow it down better? Quote

Is this normal This video shows the "whining" sound on top of the "chuddering". It comes on at different times and I have not been able to determine what causes the "whining". omegacloud Posted May 1, 2018 Author Posted May 1, 2018 Just a follow up in case anyone gets similar noises. The chugging noise was fixed with an oil change. 4.7l of fully synthetic oil cost £50. The whining noise was caused by a worn auxiliary belt. I have had it changed for around £100. Quote
