coldel Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 I think it has to be taken on a case by case basis - you stand on the pavement, a bus drives past, you fall over out of surprise because you were not paying attention and crack your head and next thing calling for thousands in compensation from the council, bus service or whoever you think can pay up - well that is farcical. For the fire situation, if someone has been knowingly negligent and put lives at risk in the name of cost cutting/profit making then I do feel there should be a prosecution, if its a criminal act then it should be treated as such - that is not blame culture? TT350 Posted June 25, 2017 Author Posted June 25, 2017 Sure. I'm don't just mean the fire though. It's the blame/compensation culture. "Where there's blame, there's a claim!" "Missold PPI? You can claim THOUSANDS!" "Trip or fall?! You can claim up to 20k!" We're all paying for it now. Anyway, just my opinion. Nothing personal. 1 Quote
coldel Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 I get that completely. Been going on for years though nothing new really. People want easy money nowadays, rather than putting in the graft. Quote
formatzero Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 Interesting to see some folks refusing to leave their similarly clad homes today as they were asked to do for safety reasons, they are obviously happy to take their chances ! Quote
