Jay84 Posted May 10, 2017 Author Posted May 10, 2017 Also looking at the photos strudul posted the genuine carbon bonnets are shiny, a wrap is more than likely going to be matt. Ah well, I've chucked a lot more at the car in the first few months of ownership than intended, I can sort the bonnet at a later date. Quote
Strudul Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 I think that massively depends on which wrap (brand and type) you go for. There are high gloss CF wraps and matt CF wraps. Just save up some more and get a real CF bonnet with cool vents. 1 Quote
Jay84 Posted May 10, 2017 Author Posted May 10, 2017 I'm against vents, for me they're in the same realm of BGW's. Nothing against them, just not what I'm after on this car. I'll either get the rare HR bonnet, or (more than likely) get the one I have sprayed. I did consider wrapping EVERYTHING in Pirates Black. Quote
Strudul Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 Bonnet vents are badass, but does require the rest of the car to match. Can't tell me you don't like the XKR bonnet? Pirate black is like midnight purple? Quote
Jay84 Posted May 10, 2017 Author Posted May 10, 2017 Kinda. Its black until it hits the light and becomes aubergine. I had a civic mb6 in that colour and I loved it. Quote
coldel Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 Vents work sitting in traffic watching a column of rippling hot air exiting the engine bay is testament to it 1 Quote
