Do obd readers read airbag errors?

I got myself a MaxiScan 309 code reader on the recommendation of Jay at a Cheshire Castle meet.

Today I was cleaning the car mats and must've jogged the underseat connector.

Hey presto.

Flashing airbag light.

Perfect opportunity to try out my code reader.

But no codes were detected :(

Is that because the management light didn't come on or is my reader faulty?

Anyway.....Good old trusty ignition on off dance and all is well again.

I actually keep this YouTube video on a playlist along with other useful zed videos

Most cheap OBDII readers only do engine codes. I bought a licence for NDS towards the end of last year so I could read all the ECU's. One thing I don't like is owning a car & only being able to access 1 ECU.
