Replacing the Bose stereo

I'm happy with the standard head unit but my CD player is on the fritz. I want to replace it like for like but from searching I'm of the understanding that the replacement needs to be uncoded from its car and then recoded to mine. Anyone know the cost of this or who can do it?

 

I don't want to go aftermarket because I've just brought a Bluetooth adaptor.

 

My car is a 2007 and I'm based in Gloucestershire.

Read this somewhere else

if they are good non skipping cd units ,you could have dismantled the units and removed the cd multi unit and sold them for people to swap the faulty CD unit on their own car that bit is not coded

I'd assume it's just a case of undoing then redoing a load of screws.

 

Try PMing techinstaller since he seems to know about it.

If its just the CD player skipping then you can do the aux hack instead?
