Headlamp Washerjet Button & Oil Light

In nearly 4 years I've never pressed the headlamp washer jet manual squirty button before, but tonight I was investigating my diff in a wet car park, as I reached for the ESP I accidentally pushed it and the customary drenching of the entire front end was accompanied by an illuminated oil light.

 

 

Is this normal?

Great vid mine doesn't do that, almost looks like there is a short somewhere.

A short makes sense but I have absolutely no idea where to start looking!

Well that's novel, I've never seen anything like that before and I'm with SuperStu, Other than a trip to a decent Auto Electrician I wouldn't have a clue where to start.
