Black Edition 370z - Number query?

Hello all.

 

Quick question...

 

I've just bought a Black Edition 370z from a Nissan garage, but it doesn't have the plate on the strut bar, so I can't tell what number it is.

 

Is this normal? Should all the Black Editions have the plate? The Nissan garage assures me it is the Black Edition and it says Black edition on all their paperwork and with the DVLA too.

 

So I'm confident it is, but I was just wondering is there another way of finding out the number?

 

Okay, I lied about the 'quick question' as I've asked about 100 questions!

Also look for the small 40th Anniversary badge on the rear under the 370Z.

The car is Quartz and the seats are red with embossed 40th wording, it also has the 40th edition badge on the back, so it's definitely a black edition, but just numberless (until I find it out)

Yeah, that's why I'm confused.

 

I can see another member had a similar issue, so I've PM'ed him. I'm hoping he found out the answer.

I assume they get stuck on at the factory so it seems odd that it's missing. Still, don't let it ruin your enjoyment of the car. Quartz is still my favourite Z colour and I liked the seats of the black edition so much I had some installed in my Nismo
