Justthejedi Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 When i plug my phone in to listen to music it's only playing through the right speakers. I've tried x2 leads and it's the same so not the leads. Can the socket be replaced without having to replace the whole stereo system?....anybody had the same problem? 1 Quote
Randy_Baton Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 I don't know the 370 but what leads are you using? Does it have 3 or 2 channel connections on the plug? I think Apple leads used to use what would traditionally be the mic channel for one of the L/R channels on their 3 channel phono leads. I'f presume he zed would use the traditional channel set up and wouldn't have a proprietary lead. Quote
Justthejedi Posted September 12, 2016 Author Posted September 12, 2016 It's just a normal jack lead, 1 channel like the apple lead. Quote
Randy_Baton Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 (edited) 1 channel? well that's your problem. Presume that was a typo. If you've only got one channel then the output would be mono. How many black line does it have on the Jack? 1 line - mono output (1 channel) + ground 2 lines - stereo output (2 channel L/R) + ground 3 lines - stereo output + microphone input (2 channel L/R + mono mic) + ground Either side of each line is a separate electrical contact. Although looking at below if you were using a mono lead I think it would only play through the left. Edited September 12, 2016 by Randy_Baton 3 Quote

It was working perfectly but now only works through the left Speakers if you hold the lead at an angle. Think I will give nissan a call and ask if they do replacement sockets. Quote
richparks Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 I have a similar problem in my 2009, i've tried 3 aux cables and none of them work at all - no left or right, the connection feels quite loose, any one replaced the aux port? Quote
Justthejedi Posted February 8, 2017 Author Posted February 8, 2017 I think the replacement socket is around £85 from Nissan plus fitting. I haven't got round to replacing mine yet. Quote

Struggling to speak to anyone at Nissan that can give me an answer, been put through to about 5 different customer service lines and no one has a clue. Quote
