I recently had a phone interview with a company who develop 3D software for simulations. I noticed that they use C++ for a lot of the programming and mentioned that I'd had a little experience with it...bad move! I've now got a face-to-face interview on Tuesday where they're going to give me a 5min test on the language =|

Can anyone recommend a site/book where I can give myself a crash course on the basic understanding of the language? It doesn't have to be detailed, they just want to know that I half understand what is going on =)

Thank you!

(on the plus side, the director has the same surname as me so that obviously means it's meant to be...)

Google this:

"basic c++ programming pdf"

There's a good range of downloadable pdf files. Some a few pages long with absolute bare basics. Others are the full tutorials.

I haven't used c++ in 20 years when I was back in college!
