Hdmi port on pioneer stereo

I'm going to be fitting my new pioneer stereo next week. It comes with a hdmi port but no lead.

Is it worth buying one and putting more cables through the car?

Does anyone actually use a hdmi on a stereo, I can't imagine sticking a Xbox to it. It already has 2 USB ports and it has mirror link

You have to buy the leads seperate and they usually come as a Pioneer set---personally i wouldn't bother my mirrorlink has never worked i just use the usb ports

you need the HDMI if you are going to run an Iphone on apple carplay it plugs into an adapter with USB and then has a single connector that comes from it into the Iphone.

 

this is from memory as i don;t have an iphone
