I use an FM modulator, pluged into the rear 12v socket...works fine

Sounds fine to me, not like I use it much as the exhaust it quite fruity

While you're pulling the dash and radio out, think about splurging and fit a new head unit. Better results and more functionality for a relatively low investment.
