2006 revup plenum query

Apologies if this has been asked before... on the 2006 DE revup, as well as a 5/16 spacer, I have seen there is some other spacer you need?

Can anyone confirm, and recommend where to get this from?

Thanks!

Its a pre revup lower (which has longer runners and so designed to work best at a lower rpm) with the tops of the front two ports flattened off to increase airflow over them.

I belive there is pics in my build thread from when I did it. 5min job with a flap wheel on a grinder

Hi Ben, looked at your tread and pics are hard to see. The flattening off of the ports I get but why do the top half of the plenum need the bolt holes welding up and not used?

Also is this modifying the revup plenum or a de one?

I have a de but it's for my mate who's got the revup.

Certainly seems easier and cheaper to buy a pre revip lower plenum and shave the required bits off, rather than get the rev2. I'd also be interested in seeing more details on how to do it

I removed the bolt hole posts to further invrease airflow theough the plenum. This was just me though and not part of the mrev copy.

If doing that the holes need welding in the upper and the lower to for the plenum to be airtight. The uppers are the same no matter what year de, only the lower half changed. The revup has shorter runners which os better for higher rpm power

The mrev copy part is just removing casting marks and part numbers etc to smooth it all off amd shaving the top of two of the ports. Theres a guide aomewhere on an American forum that should be easy to find on google :)
