greenie74
As I mentioned in my last post I have had fitted a new extreme clutch kit with single mass fly wheel slave cylinder and braided pipe. Its all ok except it drags, predominantly in first gear as if its not quite disengaging properly. Is this just an adjustment or do I have a problem with the plate? I have read that I need to adjust the pedal if I fit heavier poundage clutch, could this be the solution? Any help is appreciated Martin
davey_83
i would as first action suggest a fluid bleed again
greenie74
thanks Davey My mechanic was bleeding and rebleeding all afternoon yesterday. He rang this morning to say he'd found a small leak on the master cylinder and after minor adjustment of the pedal its all good. The clutch biting point is very low though. Having read about these extreme clutches it seems to be a pretty common thing with them.
plebpl
You can try to adjust your pedal to raise the bite point by following this guide http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/50287-how-to-adjust-clutch-pedal/
spunkehmunkey
The biting point raises over time, I had one fitted recently and it started super low but eventually normalised.
