Adrian@TORQEN Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Hi Phil, If you want uprated carbon ones, we have those in stock, have a look here: http://www.torqen.uk/350z/body-styling/bonnet-dampers/1734-350z-p2m-carbon-fiber-rear-boot-damper-p2-crhd350z-tp.html Quote
Jetpilot Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 The boot release and struts are two separate issues, try the penny trick for the boot poppers, sgs are well regarded for struts. Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 The boot release and struts are two separate issues, try the penny trick for the boot poppers, sgs are well regarded for struts. There was a chap in here doing uprated springs, what happened to that? Quote
Jay Kay Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 I'd buy springs! I have the uprated struts, which are so strong you need two hands now to shut the boot! I did the penny trick to but its still not popping open properly all of the time. Stronger springs would be greats Quote

PhilZDebZ Posted February 8, 2016 Author Posted February 8, 2016 Thanks all of you for your help My boot catch seems to be working fine but the gas struts certainly are not but now I have the places to go for them so I'll get it sorted Phil Quote
Jetpilot Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 The gas struts wont push it up when you press the release, thats the poppers. The struts wont actually lift the bootlid on their own power. Quote

This^^. If when you open your boot lid it drops straight back down on your head then it's the struts. If when you press the boot release button it doesn't release first time and stays on the catch then it's the poppers. Quote
PhilZDebZ Posted February 8, 2016 Author Posted February 8, 2016 It is my gas struts !!! I keep opening up the rear hatch boot to put things in or remove and if I or a friend don't hold it open it tries to kill me !! Quote
PhilZDebZ Posted February 8, 2016 Author Posted February 8, 2016 I'm going for new struts from Adrian at Torqen Quote
