Ok thanks, I was asked if I wanted it hence the question. The attractive piece sounded like you'd not have to polish the car again, not sure if that's right / true or not...

The actual product isn't tragic but the dealership won't apply it properly, it takes me 1-2 days to prepare a new car. I prepared a new car in a day at a dealerships their 2 valeters kicked out 36! Normally get around 40 minutes timeframe on a car.

No product will stop you scratching and needing to polish, proper products and techniques will help stop scratches and marking, a protective coating makes it easier to wash and gives some protection from wash marking.

Probably worth adding that the proper products are a little more tricky to apply as well (ceramics and the like).
