Kieran_ctr Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Is they anyway of putting the facelift satnav in the preface? As mine looks so old fashioned & can't even search using a postcode which is terrible unless I'm blind & can't see that feature! Or is they anyway of getting a update to make it look better & use postcode search? Thanks in advance Quote
jimboy2 Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 The 08 doesn't have postcode so don't worry too much!! 1 Quote
Kieran_ctr Posted November 15, 2015 Author Posted November 15, 2015 Really! It's so annoying as my street doesn't even exist on my satnav & it's been there for 18 years haha! I will just stick with my imaps on my iPhone Quote
AMT Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I knew I did the right thing looking for one without a nav... gives me somewhere to put stuff upfront haha 1 Quote
Shenley Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 You can buy a new disc here:- http://www.navigationmaps.co.uk/nissan-22-c.asp You will have the X6 version. The later model HR had the X7. They only provide up to date maps. No postcode input. The final version of the X7 gave new graphics. 2 Quote
Kieran_ctr Posted November 16, 2015 Author Posted November 16, 2015 Ok thanks Shenley so if I buy the X7 how do I update it? do I plug a laptop in somewhere? Quote
mdunbar Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 I would just take it out and fit a Tom Tom/Garmin or use your phone. This is the problem with built in tech in cars, it dates very quickly (Nokia 3210 integration). I find the extra storage space more use than the sat nav option. Quote
Shenley Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 (edited) SatNav is simples, just insert the new DVD Rom disc. However....... You will need a different centre console section as the X7 has the controls below the screen. There was no cubby hole cover on these models. I believe there is a thread somewhere with pictures of the two different types of dashboard section. None of these systems are touch screen. The disc holder in my old 350 was behind the drivers seat. Found the thread about different centre sections. This has pictures but is a reversal of your idea. This is removing the X7 system to fit a cubby hole and cover. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/97080-07-gt-changing-the-sat-nav-for-a-cubby/page__hl__satnav#entry1466129 Edited November 16, 2015 by Shenley Quote
J4CKO Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Why not just get a double din Android thing with Nav on ? Quote
