What colour primer is best for the 350z orange paint?

As the title says, I'm respraying my bumper (aftermarket nismo v2 style I think, so it's made out of fibreglass not like the original plastic) what's the ideal primer to use to get the original orange colour? Just normal grey primer?

Rattle can will be a disaster. You need a HVLP gun, unless you are filling any damage you only need to scotch the hell out of the panel. Primer isn't required.

If you sand through to the panel anywhere then you'll need to flick a bit of primer over it. Normal grey primer will be ok but don't use acrylic.

Get the paint mixed by a decent paint shop. You'll need about a quarter litre. Chances are it'll still look different......zed paint is a bugger to get to sit right especially between plastic and metal panels. That's why you often have to blend out into the wings and bonnet which makes it a very expensive job.

Thanks for the info Ricey, managed to get most of the bumper sorted for the respray, just need to find a shop to mix the colour now! I take it Halfords is a no go lol..

I wouldn't personally mate. A trade supplier will still provide you the paint but charge you a bit more.

Where are you based?
