GIXXERUK Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-350Z-speci ... dZViewItem http://www.groundingkits.co.uk/ they do different colours, spills does them but only in silver, i havent got one and have heard mixed reactions, most people say it makes the car feel smoother, less jerky, i suppose the effect depends on how poorly earthed components are to begin with, which will vary Quote
GIXXERUK Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 phew ! ..........and the spills grounding kit........ http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... highlight= Quote
shire350Z Posted December 14, 2007 Author Posted December 14, 2007 cheers pal ill probbally get one cant see it making much difference but will look good just need to find one in orange!!! to match up with my hoses Quote
Beavis Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 Made my own set of cables using high quality multi-strand 25mm copper cables and high quality cable lugs. Noticed no diffference but i think that the earth connection from the battery to the chasis is very poor, so worth doing for this alone. Quote
Stew Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 It smoothed out my idle. Definately. Changed the plenum and it kind of went back though as I guess the grounding isn't as good. Quote
Chris`I Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 Mine just seemed smoother at lower revs and pull away. Also nice and smooth pootling in the Slough traffic on a morning! Other than that no difference at all. Quote
polarbear Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 Spill's kit is really neat, but if I was 100% honest then I don't think there was a noticeable difference on my MY04. When you look at how crap some of the OEM cables are though it's a surprise the electrics work at all Quote
lomoto Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 no difference whatsoever on mine, but they look OK so they are stopping on (besides I cant be arsed to remove them now ) Quote
shire350Z Posted December 16, 2007 Author Posted December 16, 2007 yeah i was thinking just for looks really Quote
xStric9x Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 If you want a bit of extra grunt why not look for a plenum spacer Quote
shire350Z Posted December 17, 2007 Author Posted December 17, 2007 yeah thought about one off those dint know wether it made that much difference!!! Quote
GIXXERUK Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 i've read the plenum is the only thing that makes any difference, it gives extra low down/mid range torque iirc £185 for a 5/16 th and not worth going for the larger spacer - seen in the states they fit 1/2" but have been told the strut bar wont fit and you cant feel the difference Quote
signwizard Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 Ive just fitted a Spills kit this week on my Zed (57plate 600miles). We live on the end of a small down hill road and from cold its not a very smooth drive normally...the zed wants to go too fast for the park cars and roaming cats. I did notice a smoother ride since fitting the kit and especially when the engine is cold - cheap mod too. Quote
