ralosc Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Changed the standard headunit for an aftermarket Sony one today (Bose amplified system) - used the very useful fitting headunit thread as a guide. Spliced the blue/white amp remote on lead from the harness adapter into the same on the head unit wiring and the same for the earth lead. Powers on fine and the speakers all work including the subwoofer. However- volume range seems different to before on the standard head unit. Doesn't seem to go very loud- turning the Sony volume up to max (50) seems to be about 2/3rds of the max volume I would expect. Any ideas or is that just how it is? Quote
ZeppoJeff Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Happened to me also when installing my old pioneer. What you have to do is not use the phono cables provided...instead cut and splice them onto a normal head unit plug. There is a thread on here somewhere that will help you. Quote

Angrybiker Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 I had the same problem. Buster mod worked a treat, it also fixed the alternator whine 😊 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
