  1. come on lads gotta be someone out there for the good of the community ps , im first on the list to have it done lol
  2. lol is that an admission of guilt Sarnie
  3. now thats a nice spoiler, discrete and not overly big defo to my taste, but cant help but think audi tt when i look at it.... not sure if thats a bad thing or not....
  4. i was thinking it would be cheaper to get some heatshrink tubing , nicking a mig welder and having a play making sparks and pigeon poo welding , so if anyone sees a bike slowly grinding away down the m6 behind a black zed, you will all know who it is ... police camera action.....
  5. will post a piccy as soon as i can find the lead to my phone gone walkys!!!
  6. lol that is so funny , i wonder how many people after watching that had a little go at trying to "bust a few moves" out
  7. cheers for that did save a lot of time, looks like my friends are driving ! lol ... will keep my eyes posted for alternatives though .... like the rack at the end through the towing hitch...
  8. hi all looking at to getting a bike rack for the zed, but the only one i have seen looks horrid , and its pricey to --- http://www.birdautomotive.com/Bike%20Rack%20Nissan%20350Z.htm has anyone managed to fit a clip on type one to the zed yet and if so any problems ?
  9. well all recieved , top chap to do business with good communicaton and items deliverd as promised in good packaging and dead on time.....and items exactly as described.. on the car and rolling now decided against spraying the spokes black they look spot on as they are... mega chuffed, defo suit a black car gets the right contrast between the silver of the headlights and door handles .....
  10. was chatting to Davids14 about this at work for quite a while the other day, and we have both looked and its a tough one to find a spoiler that does not add to the fat ar5e look to much and preserve the lines side on, for me its the ings or the standard uk lip spoiler, but still looking and hoping there is something a little different and tasteful out there that adds to the apperance in a good way ! the search continues..... looking like the standard one for me though at the moment...
  11. going the same way diesel has ! Something cheap that is developed and then taxed the hell out of once the goverment has got the masses by the short and curly's . . . Disgraceful country sometimes . . .
  12. martingt maybe its an optical illusion but yours seems very low from standard , (well atleast compared to mine) i will have to get a piccy of mine for comparison.. cheers lads great info coming in.
  13. mine does seem rather high at the rear will have to measure out the wheel arch to top of wheels, at the minute small furry animals are using it for shelter!!!!, but in comparison the front like you say looks as though it only needs 10 mm for apperance sake..
  14. yup yup yup got sticky fingers for these little beauties , think it may be a trip to the spray booth though for a touch of black before fitment.... oh and the obligatory lowering
  15. Hi all looking to drop my zed a little in the very near future when i take collection of some alloys , and im looking to get a nice looking but functional ride height? from looking at some of the photos i see a lot have and a lot have not? just wondering on what you lads and lasses would recommend . ie coilovers or the cheaper option spring kit, ? i will be fitting an uprated antiroll bar in the future , but im not looking to alter spring rates or damping much if at all... any real world experience would be greatly appreciated
  16. black car ke06 was the plate i always drive that way about 10- 15 times a week , if by chance your were in the silver 350z 04 plate, it was good fun , your car looked a lot more stable than mine felt going around the big left hand sweeper of camber.. at erm 60mph
  17. hi there lads . Had a peek through the topic and has anyone got a defo answer to what it is . Both mine are doing it . From the noise i think its down to the lsd putting stress through the cv joints and causing wear . Which is to be expected but after this short a period ! Me thinks a design flaw . Does anyone know if the bearings are tapered or straight cut . Either way its either a new set of bearing caps or new cross . . Hopefully if its just the bearing caps im sure they could be sourced as like most bearings for a few quid . . Think i may look into this . If push comes to shove there is a propshaft specialist 5 mins from my work who has made me custom length cv/ driveshafts before for different applications . Think i may have a strip down this week . ? Any info of people who have got there hands greasy would be a plus . . .
  18. just a thought i remember some of my freinds at the time going for a traders insurance which is costly and allows you to drive most cars through a loophole, but im sure these loopholes have been closed now.. worth looking into espes if your premium is very high and you have a few cars....the best thing to do is to pop in for a freindly chat to your local insurance broker for a bit of info for the best course to take and what cover would be appropiate to your costs and needs..
  19. i remember when i was 21 and had an import mr2 turbo running a fair few mods and capable of running 400 at the flywheel on a cold day , mr insurance i think adrian flux at the time i think took 1700 off my hands tpft ..... a few years on now 29 and insurance is 434 fully comp with a clean licence and full no claims thank god the robbing insurance days are over, made life a nightmare when i was younger.. full of empathy for the younger driver, but then you see some twonk doing 85 through town center in an f reg astra gsi and remember why mr insurance can get away with it ....
  20. The V6 growl is certainly there before albeit somewhat tamed, put the jwt popcharger on and its grin factor is defo worth the 95 squid... i rememeber putting mine on the first trip i made i ended up just cruising along at 4000 rpm and burying the throttle with the windows open ... i can honestly say it sounded like i had fitted a different exhaust the intake made that much of a growl, but whilst just normal driving its fairly inconspicious with its noise level.... gets a big thumbs up from me.... my somewhat little experiance is based upon not hearing any other makes of aftermarket induction system , and im just making a comparison between stock and the jwt kit... a few of the lads on here will be able to guide you in your choice, but as you will proberly see from there profiles most of them have the jwt already fitted...
  21. hi pal pm sent regarding offer upon the wheels, kind regards nick
  22. i think the most satisfying is when there is a dew on the car that looks like the finest of films that turns into bubbles when you drive off and disapears within a minute of driving leaving the car dry..... dont happen very often but gives a sense of satisfaction of a job well done ......
  23. never noticed the rain sitting on it to be honest but just had a peek out the window and yup your right everyother car in the street looks matt in comparison, thats what about 4 hours with autoglym polish and wax sealents gives you i guess , and a bit of a sore right arm, but im used to that
