You're up late Sarnie! Yeah i do agree with you. At the end of the day its a 13k car so 6k insurance isn't worth it. If i did sell the car i would probably loose 10k due to the finance/credit crunch (im only 22, even 1k is a @*!# load of money) so in a way I cant afford to not insure it! Was just after a few ideas/tips. To be honest i was quite happy with an evo after the money for the smash I had but im pretty sure the www.evo-uk.com forum will be full of idiots who know half as much as the people on here! Its not just the car that i can't get rid of, its the community. I know it sounds stupid but if i'd smashed my evo up i doubt there would be a matinmac or a bigphil to help me get back on track!

Sorry about the above but to be honest, unless you already have the cash up front we all take a gamble on finance/loans -Who knows who may lose their job to no fault of their own or even just have a change in their insurance situation like me. (I and my boss did not see this change to insurance coming, god, he's taken a much bigger kick in the balls than I have) To everyone (especially M13KYF and Martinmac) who has given me advice Thanks! Yea... fair enough saying get a car you can afford the insurance on but if you had taken the time to read the original post you would know that i did get my insurance paid for. Im not starting a thread war but I could have bought a 1 litre corsa.. as the insurance was a fixed price I went for the 350z as it was my dream car. Hey, you only live once, if you can, go for it! I could easily afford the car's maintenance and running costs, just not the insurance!

Sounds like a very good idea.. only problem is that even though i dont mind driving it third party, I DO mind it being uninsured should it be stolen or vandalised. This is really proving to be a tough one!

I went from a 206 diesel to the Zed I'm pretty sure my car is group 20! Tried Adrian Flux, they quoted me the £6 grand. Was wondering whether to not tell them about mods, wait a few weeks and then declare them?!

Having a nightmare of a day.. my Zed is being repaired as we speak and the nismo parts from bigphil are coming in the next couple of weeks so I WAS in a good mood. A few of you know that the company I work for have been insuring my car, but due to a few smashes of vans etc, the insurance price per vehicle has gone up from £750 to £1900 and covers 25 years + drivers only. I'm 22 so I'm not covered on the company even if the car was and the car is on finance still (and now with an insurance claim on its records) so I'd be losing almost 10 thousand £ if I sell it! Plus my Zed is my pride and joy so I can't let her go after just 6 months! Rang a few companies and the lowest quote was £6000! I'm 22 I've had my licence 1 year No no claims bonus Modified Import car ****ed. If anyone has any ideas I'd be REALLY grateful. Thanks

I got one for £160 out of a Nissan Patrol and someone else got one for £188 the other day. They are hard to find but if you keep looking you'll get one for a good price.

No.. there isn't a language option. -not to change it to English anyway. I got a uk dvd drive so mine is in english now, think that's the only way to do it! Oh, and i think the clock is set via GPS.

Took me ages to work that out.. the minutes are easy to change, it was just the hours Just to confirm, there is a clock on the BOSE display and on the birdview screen on the JDM cars.
