  1. Hi

I know it's early days for the vq35HR (313bhp lump), having only been released the latter half of 2007, but are the internals (pistons etc) stronger and more reliable than the earlier vq35DE (276-296bhp) lump? Which lump can reliably withstand the most bhp/torque?

    Thanks for any info.

Yes, some of the internals are different including pistons.

Both are good up to maximun of 400 bhp providing you have complete control over ignition and fuel but longevity will be a big issue on both the DE and the HR on standard internals over 400 hp.

  2. Received another 2 sets of LED's from Nissan this morning.

Still at the old price £240 next day delivery including tracking and insurance.

Remember totally plug and play 2003 onwards JDM or U.K.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

  3. Glad you guys are all very happy with the product and the service:yahoo:

Just to let all the guys that are still sitting on the fence on this one that I took in another 6 sets of the LED's today but only got 3 sets left.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

  4. Certainly the numbers are a bit rich but a sniffer is really not that accurate and as Dan says bore wash is a strong possibility at top end if you are actually running that rich.

Most of the tuner guys that use a sniffer would probably use an Innovate LM1 AFR meter and for speeds sake would use the sniffer but it can also be hooked up to a Bosch Wideband Sensor which would give you an accurate reading.

If you are concerned then I would recommend that you get that done.

  7. Fitting back on an OEM Y section should be a last resort as they are soooooooooo restrictive.

What do you mean by "keeps blowing" ?

Does it crack and break or is it blowing at the flange gaskets ?

A good quality Y section with the proper gaskets should not give you any issues if fitted properly.

Do you still have the exhaust cross bar fitted at the front ?

    Cheers,

    Alex.

  8. If anyone has one lying around in their garage.. can u pls PM me.

Im in kingston upon thames.. anyone with a spare one local wud be great.

I have one which I took off my car after 400 miles so it is like brand new.

Why would you want the most restrictive part of the OEM zorst system.

OH! and I am not local

    Cheers,

    Alex.

  9. ive just got a cosworth short block and cosworth heads im going to be putting in hks 264 cams ive already got fitted aps tt kit im going to have motec m800 ecu and 800 injectors whats the max bhp i can get out of the aps tt kit to use every day without putting the turbos under to much stress

Best to talk to your engine builder and mapper.

All depends on how safe you want it to be.

With full control over boost, ignition, fuel and cams you will have many options.

I run a HKS tt Roadster with 525hp at the huds (around 600 at the fly)

I am amazed that you did not figure/calculate all this out prior to starting on your project.

I also would have thought that torque would also have been a major issue.

Remember bhp sells cars, torque wins races. :yahoo:

Do your searches on both U.K. forums and educate yourself :)

After that, feel free to give me a shout anytime and I will answer all your questions with informed responces. ;)

As a matter of interest, who is your preferred engine builder and mapper?

    Cheers,

    Alex.

  12. yeah holdcrofts are but they say because ours is a pre MY06 the wiring is slightly different so doesnt matter where you get them from its how the block is on the wiring loom

Totally plug and play from the factory.

    No cutting or soldering required.

    Fit 2003 up.

    JDM or U.K. models.

  13. Been reading this with interest but getting a little confused. I’ve seen the Holdcroft lights on ebay for £229.99 + £8.99 delivery.

    Since they give members a 20% discount I assume the total delivered cost will be £229.99 – 20% = £183.99 + £8.99 = £ 192.98. Why pay £240?

    Or am I missing something

    Hi guys, just to clerify.

These lamps now sell at the dealers for £217.92 each.......YES EACH...........Please feel free to check this out at your local Nissan Dealer.

These are Genuine U.K. Nissan LED's and fit all models from 2003 up with no wiring or block modifications.

    Hope this helps.

A bit of a Zed aficionado, aren't you Alex? Welcome aboard, mate, good to see you here. Why don't you do the proper intro stuff and tell everyone about your mega-Zed - is it just one now?

    Hi Digsy,

Cheers mate, yeah will do the proper intro stuff when I have a mo.

I just wanted to help Gary out with his blown engine issues.

Yip, only the one Zed at the mo, sold the Purple Sumo car on P.H. a few weeks ago.

    Cheers,

    Alex.
