  1. A few weeks ago, I took our 13yo to her netball tournament. When I went to pick her up, about 8pm, I parked in a completely empty car park! I mean there was maybe one or two cars in a car park meant for over 250 easily. I got out, went into the sports hall, watched the last of her game, and waited while she said her goodbye's before walking back out to the car. What did I find? A filthy(and I meanproperly dirty, filthy), enormous great crew-cab pick up parked right beside my pride and joy!!! It was huge, and looked like the Hilux from top gear, AND it had chosen to park, in a big, empty car park, right beside me!!!! I have to say, when I rounded the corner, my bladder nearly let go and to my amazement, there wasn't a mark on the Zed! But why? why did he absolutely HAVE to park there? the relief was unbelievable, but it could have so easily been a different story! I don't know what it is either. Our supermarket has a car park about 50% bigger than it needs to be, and I park across the other side of it every time, with about 50 - 100 spaces between my car and the rest of the masses, and more than half the time I come back with someone next to me..... the only thing I can think of, is it must be some sort of desire thing, maybe admiration or jealousy, or perhaps the idea if you park next to a beautiful, rare sports car, some of the owner's good fortune would rub off! I dunno, seems a bit like cluthcing at straws, but I can't think of another explaination Think it's more of a case of if I park next to a really nice car who obviously has a caring owner, he wont hit my car when he tries to get into his, oh wait, I just hit his while thinking that, nevermind! My mate bought a brand new Impreza STI, in the first 3 weeks of owning it he'd had 4 dents. Some people just don't care about other peoples stuff, and unfortunately it's one of those things that will never, ever, change
  2. My car is a 54 plate and has the cradle in the arm rest. Is this all I need for the car phone kit to work?
  3. +1 Also, why is the emergency services guy they interview in America always called Randy?
  4. Sorry for resurrecting the thread, but... http://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=270017 Does anyone have any experience in doing the headlights like this guy has? I'm not a fan of his LED's but I think the headlights themselves look stunning and set the car off, especially continuing the bonnet line through the headlight. I had a read of his thread but the whole process seems like a massive DIY job. Is this the only way to go about it? Macca
  5. I've had mine since end of december. I bought a 54 plate gunmetal GT with rays and satnav 27000 miles for £17,500. I'd reccomend getting the one with satnav purely for resale value. I know it seems an expensive add on when you can get a tom tom to stick on your window for 100 quid but its nice to have it in the dash and it might count for more than you think when (if ) you decide to get rid of it in the future. Whichever you get you wont be disappointed, it's a fantastic car Macca
  6. Anyone got a rough idea how much a set of 4 18" rays (as shown in ebay pic) would sell for with 2 brand new front tyres and half worn ones on the back? Not a scratch on any of them as they were fully refurbed by the dealer before I bought the car.
  7. Same, 54 plate with remote. Don't know how old the map CD is though, went up to see bigphil yesterday and must've took 3 wrong turns on roundabouts that either didn't exist a few years ago or have had roads added

    Exhaust change

I've had my Z for about 2 weeks now and I'm really happy with it. However I can't help but want to change the exhaust on it and also add and induction kit to it. I understand the induction kit is basically used for pulling more air in as a standard factory one is slightly restricted compared to what an after market one can offer. I had one on my Civic type R and the noise it produced was fantastic, especially in the Vtec, thus making me want one even more for my Z. However, I never did anything with the exhaust on my Type R and I'm a bit of a no brainer when it comes to anything mechanical where cars are concerned. I've sort of got my heart set on the Nismo exhaust kit. From what I understand through trolling through the forums and talking to people, alot of the exhaust noise is produced mainly through the backbox? I read a post on here by Zedrush who'd bought the Nismo exhaust system but had also changed the Plenum and fitted High Flow Cats. This is about where my limited knowledge ends I have no idea what the Plenum or the cats do. I assume both are road legal in the UK? Also is it worth fitting just the exhaust without the cats and the plenum? Is the exhaust system just a backbox or is it a full system? From the pictures in the thread it looks like a full system but I don't know if thats an extra bought on top of the backbox. Also how much would I be looking at for all the kit I've mentioned plus fitting? Wallet is still hurting from buying the car but man it was worth every penny Thanks for any help! Macca
  10. Hey everyone. Picking up my 350 on this coming Friday and can't wait to get my hands on it. I'm 24 years old and just traded in my Civic Type R for the Z. Gone for a gun metal grey with the rays, gt pack and sat nav all on it. Only thing I'm thinking about adding to it at the moment was the Nismo bodykit that I've seen on various review sites, just wondered what peoples views were on this and where and if its actually possible to get them as I read they were only available as an extra to new car orders. Not the best time of year to be changing from a front wheel drive car to rear wheel drive car I know, guess I'll just have to keep the metal boots in the cupboard for a few more months
