  1. Just reviving this as it came up in another thread. I fitted mine today, I also bought - http://www.ebay.com/itm/FITS-INFINITI-G37-G37S-G35-NISSAN-370Z-370-Z-6MT-CLUTCH-PEDAL-ASSIST-SPRING-/201111152023?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2ed328a597&vxp=mtr

I've noticed a slight improvement but not massive...still early days.

There's some good guides on the other forums, I followed them and it was easy....just a bit awkward as not much space down there!

  2. OK guys I can also confirm it is pads. I ordered a full set from eBay from a Nissan dealer (think I paid £120 all round) - they are the oem akebona one's. Great service as they came with replacement pins and a small sachet of copper grease. Had the rears replaced as they were really low. The fronts are fine so they were left. No fluid replaced or topped up and now the brake light doesnt flash when accelerating hard..job done!

Sticky time for this thread mods?

  3. I might be able to make this...Rossett is like 2 miles from my house :) What's the plan?

If we get enough numbers and anybody wants to wash cars before then I can accommodate at mine. Oh, and I know the best roads in N.Wales...forget evo triangle.

  4. Trying to find out without success what the stock pads are on the 370z as I need a set, does anybody know what make they are? Or can any of the traders supply a full set before I go to Nissan? Cheers...

  5. This is spooky!!! TOO SPOOKY! Mine did this today, I overtook in the wet but still being a bit sensible as I've got Bridgestones. My slip light came on and stayed on, I stopped a bit then restarted and then it went off. Now when changing gear from hard revs the brake light flashes once. I read earlier that it could be brake pads and if they are low a lot of the brake fluid stays in the caliper (or something along those lines) which then causes the sensor to think the brake fluid is low.

Makes me wonder if it is brake pads as that would explain why the ESP slip light stayed on, I think the manual says this as well. My brakes feel great otherwise and my hill hold is still holding. I'll check my levels tomorrow.

If it's not pads then I'm a bit concerned having to top up the brake fluid as I've never had to do this on any of my old cars incl. 350z.

  6. Considered going contracting? That's where I ended up after being made redundant 8 years ago...not looked back.

Oh, and agents take them with a pinch of salt - they promise the world but your only a £ at the end of the day...be proactive, spend your time off 9-5 searching for jobs or learning some new stuff... Not a bad time of the year to find work to be honest as most people seem to look more outside of winter. Good luck...Oh, and make sure your CV is the dogs...that's where you stand out with the pimps.

  7. As i'm getting more used to my 370z I've noticed the drivers side thigh bolster has pretty much collapsed or the foam has fallen down. I can feel a metal bar on my right thigh when sitting in the car. Pretty crap considering it's only 5 years old with 40k. Have any of you had this problem and managed to get Nissan to replace? I've got Nissan cared4 but won't count my chickens. Are the seats easy to remove and repair? Or otherwise a new seat replacement? I need to get it sorted as I'm sure it's related to giving me back problems when on long journeys.

  8. It really does make you wonder how Nissan make a profit seeing how few are listed. I too do a lot of motorway miles and it's vary rare I pass another zed. Same back in 2009 when I had my 350z. Combination of big engine and 2 seats I guess.

  9. For the record I had DBA9000 discs & pads on my 350z and they were rubbish, I had no end of problems with them. Brake judder, had to replace pads back to DS2500 to fix the problem, and then I had a load of uneven wear on the discs. Cost me nearly a grand back in 2007! I must have been nuts. I'll stick to the OEM in the future. I get the brake fade some times but that's when pushing it on the A5 as it has about six 1 mile straights with roundabouts, otherwise I think the OEM on the 370z are perfect for me.

  10. That reminds me, I was supposed to show you guys my cassette mod, where the lids of the cassettes have been cut to let more air in. It's friggin awesome - the noise is epic with the HKS now.

  11. email from HKS -

    Dear,

Thank you for your email. The filters cannot be washed and would need to be replaced.

For peak performance we recommend you replace 3-6 months or 3000 -5000km, but normally they can go longer

And you can maintain with your routine vehicle service. Otherwise check the filter for dirt build up and replace if necessary.

    Best regards,

Hmm, maybe more research me thinks....
