I Was in Falcon yesterday picking up my motor and his bro Steve who works in there never mentioned his demise - I need to get in touch as well about the skipping Bose fix as well
-
would have thought it would have to be disabled on the track
-
Supposed to be at P3 but the 350z has a LSD viscous coupling
so as Point 15 on the service sheet states if it has a viscous coupling then it doesn't need doing at all
How I interprate it anyhow
-
That price seems good to me. Value for money it's a great exhaust. Had problems fitting mine though and it's still not 100%. Quite a few people have experienced fitting problems on here too. Apart from that it's all good!!
how do you mean rob "fitting problems" was it around the diff
-
post up when you get it on please looking into getting one
-
does that mean it wont be changed or there is no need but it might be changed - mines in tomorrow and if they arent going to change it then Ill get the coolant changed as have the brake fluid changed anyhow
Is this the only difference in the p2 and p3 or are there other checks done
-
got a few service prices for you all in and around the North East
Hi John
sorry for the delay in replying, the prices below are for 350z owner club members
P1 Å140.00 all inc.
P2 Å196.00 all inc
P3 Å214.00 all inc.
The above prices are for visual inspection of the brakes as specified on Nissan service sheet,
As with the Brembo brakes fitted to350Z we would recomend a strip & clean as necessary at any of the services, which would be charged at Å61.00 all inc.
Also a spark plug change when necessary would be charged at Å165.00 all inc,
all inc. parts,labour & vat.
if we can be of any further help with anything please call myself

Just for info - if anybody is looking into fitting a performance exhaust - the JDM version of the Zed doesnt have fins on its LSD housing (neither do the USDM versions) unlike the UK versions
This may be an advantage when importing an exhaust - obviously they are made to be fitted to cars without the fins if coming from the land of the rising sun or US of A.
UK cars sometimes have to alter the exhaust hangers if they are lucky or alter the pipes and or fins on the LSD housing
In a nutshell all exhausts should fit the JDM models - its only the UK that seem to have bother
-
I've found my answers - yes the UK has fins
no- the jdm doesnt
yes - the JDM has same housing as USDM
-
hi all , been searching but cant find info on the LSD housing - am I right thinking the UK model has cooling fins on the diff housing and the jap one doesn't - looking at importing an exhaust from USA and I believe the US cars are the same as the JDM's ie no fins
-
Im after some uprated dampers / gas lifters for the rear hatch of my Zed - ings spoiler to heavy for OEM ones - keeps giving me a headache
any pointers
-
You can get a scorpion off ebay for £214 delivered, or I;ve just spotted this one
dont you mean £314
Luckily mines an import with the smaller dif housing so supposedly wont have the fitment issues
found a pic of Taddy's for your perusal
Ps Taddy whats the rust situation like - did you have time to check it out
-
cheers Tad
-

That's a great tip about holding down the recirc/fresh air button ... I will have to give that a go first thing tomorrow ...
It's brilliant what you can learn from this site
+2 now set up, cheers
PS if you have a poundland near you they sell a larger version of the silca granuals in a sort of Tupperware box with a grill on top used for homes with codensation problems but a good way to help sort your problem out

just had a reply from Falcon Performace in M'boro
Prices to club members is as follows:
P1: £130.00
P2: £173.00
P3: £216.00
FP1: £148.00
FP2: £160.00
FP3: £202.00
sounds a great deal
I will get my P3 done - just had my MOT and it failed on a Kinked brake pipe
dont know how the hell that happened - nothing to do with the wife apparently
no offence Coops but prefer a garage with that all important stamp for the service book - more for when Im selling it
cheers anyhow mate
-
You go to Evans Halshaw in Boro
I took mine there for a P1 through neccesity in Jan last year.
I would never take it back.
You would be best to either go see Coops like mentioned above, or get a price from Falcon Performance (just off Cargo Fleet Lane). Or if you want to travel a little further, you could go to Envy Performance Al
Same situation took it there because I didnt know any better and needed it sorting - they must have preferred yours as mine only had 2 miles on it - so just a quick blast up the trunk road
They also washed it - but I didnt tell them not to - so cant complain
just waiting for people to come back with some prices
-
Tried ringing a few times but nobody answered obviously very busy - which service did you get and what was the cost
-
Got one of these stick on parking sensors for chrimbo, so I let you know how I get on - once the weather improves that is , dont fancy laying in the snow in subzero temps
-
All the condensation is water vapour from your breath, so you could try not breathing while driving - that should do the trick
or as said aircon on (will dry out the air) or try turning the recycle off so its draws air from outside and put on the fan , it will only form up until the glass temp increases or the moisture is removed from the air
-
been like that in Teesside since before Xmas
- have had to park car up a few times when I couldnt even get up onto my drive - The 350z in the snow is very interesting drive
Still the works carpark when coming in for nights or first thing in the morning when very few cars about is a right skid/drift fest
Do you drive with the traction control on or off in this weather
fragger, WARNING very additive!!!!!!!
