Thanks for the link Micky but no real follow up info on what black or what translucent silver was used. - shame

Anybody know the paint code for GT4 alloy wheels or anybody found a paint match - alloys a litlle scuffed in places and need touching up
-
What about chips away or any firm like that get em round and get a quote they are usually very good give an almost perfect ( you cant tell) finish.
cheaper and quicker as well next to no down time.

any particular brand that you used ????
did you have to remove it or did you do it in situ

hi all, the exterior door handle is getting tarnished in places, looks like the lacquer has come/coming off - what can i do to get it like new.
would I be able to shine it back up with a metal polish or would that be to harsh -then protect it with a coat of wax.
Ideally i would like to remove it , polish it up and lacquer it so it doesn't happen again but that sounds like it would be a mare of a job to do

nice write up
dont suppose anybody knows a good colour match for the GT4 wheels as they are more of a chrome silver
-
yeah, check ebay out there is one on now with no bids @ £45 delivered
Item number: 140231063563 exhaust
Item number: 140231065028 downpipes
bargain for you if you get either - finish tomorrow
was thinking about getting them as a spare but your more needy than me
-
so did you get this sorted delboy - I'd be interested to know as I only got 1 key with my import
-
well, after hunting about the net I've found this
Genuine NISSAN PSF 2 or equivalent
(Genuine NISSAN PSF, Canada NISSAN Automatic Transmission Fluid, Dexton 3 /Mercon or equivalent ATF may also be used)
so I got some Dexton III PSF from the local motor factors
big thanks to courtesyparts.com for the info - below is a link to a very good table listing at fluids and capacities (even in imperial and metric - most unlike the US)
-
hi all , can anybody recommend some power steering fluid - I know the 350's take Nissan PSFII or equiv but which others are equivalent as we dont have a local Nissan dealer about here to get any PSFII
Thanks in advance
PS mines a 35th Ani JDM don't know if that would make a difference - do GT4's take any different fluids?
-
Well had a good look and cant see anything obvious, I'll take it to get the tracking laser aligned (National Tyres doing it for £11 at the mo believe it or not ) and have them check out the steering/ track rods while they are under the car.
If I need a track rod end, how much are we taliking and who sells them in uk, want to aviod the stealers if possible ( mines a 35th Ani JDM) thats if they'll touch it.
Found some in USA for about $50 each (without delivery obviously) and they didnt seem a special part , all were priced the same, but no part numbers
-
I'd get a key cut (dealer paid for ) and give it a try.
Obvisously keep the original key well away from the car as it will deactivate the imobiliser if it contains the chip mentioned
-
Excellent table! ...but is it just me, or are the last four entries really required for the Z???
Steve
yea not chance at getting those type of figures but I did get a 13.6Km/Ltr once or was I dreaming.
PS for those who dont know its an average Km/Ltr figure shown on the pod, you need to press reset while driving and then it will give you an actual and start a new average from then - takes about 20 seconds to calc when reset.
well thats looks as clear as mud, I hope you all can understand my poor explanation
-
double post sorry

Will have a look tomorrow if it ever stops raining.
No eggs on tyre - free range or otherwise (tyre in good cond with about 7mm tred)
Wheel seems sound, as does the bearing (no movement)
Tends to most noticable on roundabouts turning right then immediately left to exit (judders when s/wheel turned from right to left).
Doesn't wander or pull in a straight line or under braking
-
Hi all, got a little problem, hit a rather large pothole last week disguised as a puddle and the steering has started to judder when I take a sharp left over 30mph over the last week - does that sound like its thrown the tracking out or it it more serious
Sorry just noticed this is in the wrong section - mods can you move it - cheers

Alright delboy from a fellow northerner, welcome.
Ive a got a 35th ani as well (GM)
Q and A time
1 Unless the Bose is shafted you should have no problems - mines got an 18mhz frequency shifter on it and it works just fine - check out your arieal, I found when I fitted a nice shiney aliminiumn stubby it wouldnt pick up bugger all , stock one picked up everything.
Bose CD is a pig in the cold , always jumping in the cold
2 Mine sticks to the road like glue - till the roads wet/damp its normal just ease off a bit in the wet or turn off the traction and drive sideways everywhere
3 I have a copy of the Nismo kit in me garage - Front bumber & skirts only make me an offer if you like
4 I replied to your other post but, it sounds similar to mine in that the car has had a cat 1 alarm fitted and the central locking now works off that - dont know anything about the key being encoded to the ECU - get the garage to get a copy if its only £10 and then see if it works - if it does lovely jubbly
-
Has your 35th had a UK immobiliser/alarm fitted as part of the SVA coz if it has wouldnt it be a simple case of getting the key cut as the old imobiliser will have been removed
-
Mines the same - digital speed indicates Kmh but is actually mph (speedo conversion) but the rest appear unchanged and are still in Km
Heres a table for the KM/Ltr
Km/Ltr Miles Per Gallon (U.K.)
2.00 = 5.65
4.00 = 11.30
6.00 = 16.95
8.00 = 22.60
10.00 = 28.24
12.00 = 33.89
14.00 = 39.54
16.00 = 45.19
