  1. How much $6250.00 !!! are they mental man you could buy another car for that! it looks nice but come on On current exchange rates thats 3,882.47 GBP + fitting and spraying no change from £5000. Soz for rant I shall remove myself from soap box
  2. Been reading this thread with interest, similar age , job and feelings Honestly I think everyone feels like this in finance at the moment, countless redundancies Barclays last week, everyone hate's banks and investment related organisations , surging inflation everything around us is shooting up apart from our salaries o yeah and a diploma to study for this year wooo hoo. I’m 26 now and feel the same sometimes but married and two properties means I am royally stuck!! I cannot see anyone paying me min 40k to start as a trainee again so I see “my†only real options are... Head for London go work in the square mile earn big bucks maybe... or not and hate it even more.. Or Head overseas!! I have for the last 24 months on/off been looking at the UAE, and trying to get into finances over there, my cousin is out there at the moment part of a management team (Lower) in a leisure centre earning 40k tax free with accommodation she is 22 with no previous experience at all in management ... just knowing where to start done all the normal trawling!! In your position why not you have no commitments you can do anything!!!! no wife no mortgages no kids mate start today what a great position to be in ... but do not leave until you got something sorted that’s just "common dog" as already said above Good luck hope it works out for you P.s How sad is it so many of us feel down in the dumps about work

  10. Not sure if this is any help to you but the guys we used were excellent and they travel anywhere. Last time I spoke to them (at a wedding) they had come back from Italy and were on there way to New York. They are ranked top 10 in the UK now, and did an excellent job for us on the big day. A few years ago when they had just started out the business I paid 850 but you do get two guys and that was from 10:00 Am - 8:00 Pm. They do charge a lot more now closer 1500-2000K but should at least check them out?? http://www.christianmichael.co.uk/ Say, Patrick Van Eady referred you two them I went to school with Chris and Michael is ex Army good lad, they are always up for a bit of haggle on price 2 Good luck

Unless there where stacked on top of each over like a Lambo Gallardo but would take some serious work/cash one off custom thingy Like this.... ------ .(_). Light / Angle Eye ....... .(_). Light / Angle Eye ------ Its shocking but cannnot access photobucket as work!! I may now go hide after this post
  18. Hi Guys/Gals Had a little search but no joy ... (I will now be proved wrong .. in 1,2 now ! ) I am looking for some recommendations for a service and Mot a garage that you use who do a good job at a fair price, I normally find Indy’s are pretty good not looking to go to main stealers for obvious reasons ££££ and quality of work "sometimes IMO" is not great" ... shame full main dealer history at the same garage since new but 2 hours away Postcode area is SN16 , willing to travel up 45/60 mins so from Birmingham to Reading to Salisbury to western super mare ... pretty big area. I have only been in my area 4 months and moved up from Cornwall so starting all over again with garages and contacts , shame some good boys back in the motherland. So recommendation welcome only need P1 I believe unless at 60k any major jobs to consider? As last service was only 3k ago but due as been a year like to do every 12 months or x miles... Thanks in advance
  19. Impressive car collection I had the same experience at first did not "seem" that fast , but to be fair there shift on ok... I think I expect more torque when you first step in ... different power deliverance as said above to some other cars
  20. Just for info I am getting 27.7 mpg over last 678 miles ... since ownership. Some Hoon, some motorways , my commute is 3.3 miles to train station 30 - 50 mph zone. Pretty pleased with that , almost 28 ... maybe as we have had sooo much snow/ice .. ask me in the summer Dblock 4.00 am that is dedicated!!! ....or you start work early/nightshift Filling up tank = Painful ££££££££ as always (95 ron)
  21. I am actually starting to think we may have been separated at birth .... I have had many such similar episodes including "CapGate" ... long story! As regards to shares/investments at the sweat shop I go to each day all I deal with is shares and investments and reading markets / giving advice IFA etc... to be honest unless you hit it big with pennies shares it will be a slow process any investment is a minimum term of 5 years and some are even saying 10 years now.... The Dow jones average return over the last 50 years has been 10.41% only in one of the last 50 years has it return 10% ... what I am trying to say is even if you started with £1000 if you yield 10% after cost/ stamp duty/ annual management charge you make £100 pounds, which you could lose ..... so if you purchased 2 cars during a year with your £1000 and sold each one and only made 100 quid each car that would be a 20% return on your money woo result! ... there is some serious profit in cars and some serious loss too! but remember your time as well!! if you spend 20 hours doing the purchase / sale etc that’s £10 per hour what about cost now products/advertising/petrol 30% on profit margin min, now you have only made 140 quid now your 20 hours = That’s 7 quid an hour I have really thought about doing hence why I am being a kill joy! I think you need to buy big so maybe 4-6k purchase to them sell for say 5-8k that where the money is ... I think If you still interested in investments head for leading single shares still serious returns but it’s a daily job in its self, a big tip for 2011 is the Usa so maybe leading US single shares as its seriously undervalued there a strong feeling that the developed countries may lead the markets there is talk of 20%?? , as the emerging markets are starting to slow a little. Best of luck .... I still looking for my own angle!
