  1. Well............ depending on interest, I'm open to offers.
  2. Price now reduced to £115 delivered or £100 if you collect (Warwickshire).
  3. Hi. Thanks. Obviously, I'm open to best offer. I was unsure what to charge TBH so just guess-timated!
  4. * Complete set (right and left side) * UK Spec, taken from a 54 reg UK Nissan 350Z GT * Fully working, good condition * Extremely easy to fit (unscrew three bolts and push fit); a matter of minutes! * Securely packaged and sent with Signature on Delivery Very Good Condition, boxed. £135 [PayPal or Cheque (upon clearing), or £125 Cash if collect] Send me a message (PM) if interested. Thanks.
  5. Hopefully it will now work out fine, certainly wasn't the best start to life with a Zed!
  6. And just to add the obvious, since it hasn't been mentioned and it's a new buyer, UK 350Zs are manual only, auto/tiptronic means it's JDM. JDMs are slightly diff spec and usually higher insurance, which is offset by being cheaper; check the FAQs. (Apologies if you're already aware)
  7. Hope you manage to get this sorted quick and satisfactory, DJ. I'd also be inclined to try and reject the car, since it's entirely within your statutory rights and you should expect to purchase 'new', but this is easier in theory than in practice. Car's tend not to be treated like other consumer goods, and it's expected to have a repair rather than complete replacement. Given the cost and low numbers of vehicles such as the Z this is in some ways understandable. Rejecting it could also mean you are without a Z for a considerable time, and the dealer is unlikely to continue to be helpful. At the moment Marshalls do seem to be doing everything they can, so I really hope it works out. I would definitely push for a replacement gearbox though, because you never know what could happen further down the line. Hey ho; things are often never as easy as they should be, are they?
  8. Ekona, seems JDM is considerably cheaper than the dealers: http://www.jdmperformance.co.uk/item_de ... =449007881 States motorized, so maybe only suitable if your existing one is the same, or maybe not. Wouldn't hurt to ask them anyway.
  9. I'm sure I recall reading the self-healing paint will be available on the special edition GT-R. Secondly I do recall reading a newpaper article from the Times (I think) about the colour-change paint saying it was blag. Basically about 6 months ago a number of Internet sites, and then mainstream press, featured an article about this colour changing paint with a picture of a multi-colour GT-R. Well it said that they'd looked into it and it wasn't true, rather a perfect example of how wrong information can be widely spread so easily nowadays. That said, somebody will probably now post to say "It is true, here's the evidence" but that's definitely what I read.
  10. Thanks. I've tried the pin trick, and thus know neither are blocked. However, doesn't seem possible to actually change the direction the nossle is pointing in, which to me seems to be the problem! (perhaps it's always been like this and was wrongly fitted from new? Just not been observant enough to notice, doh).
  11. I noticed a while ago that the screen washer for the rear windscreen doesn't do a very good job, so I decided to take a look. There appears to be two jets, and I've checked and they aren't blocked. However, one of the jets points off to the corner of the screen and the power of the water means the spray mostly misses the screen making it completely useless (and leaving the screen dirty). I've tried to adjust the positioning but the mounting doesn't seem to turn at all. Is there a way to fix this or is it an expensive trip to the dealers (it's now out of warranty)?
  12. Unfortunately time for it to go; though I've loved the time I've had with it, circumstances force sale. Details here on Pistenheads: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/392235.htm And thanks to all for the help I got on this forum when I was researching buying a 350Z in the first place.
  13. Headlight washer - isn't there a button next to the petrol cap opener I think to toggle the washer feature on/off? Pretty sure there is but could be imagining it!
  14. Whoops, not had my Zed that long, and was just going from the service book (had on hand since due for one this week).
  15. Looks very nice, nice colour too; has all the right options (GT, rays, parking sensors, sat nav). Problem is the mileage and this is what's making a huge dent in its value. At this mileage following should ALL have been done, so check: * Services - A total of six - FP1 (9000), FP2 (18000), FP1 (27000), FP3 (36000), FP1 (45000), FP2 (54000), next would be FP1 (@ 63000). [note these are 'FP' services, not the normal 'P' because of high mileage use; not sure of the exact difference but are identified diff in service handbook. Worth phoning the servicing garage as well to check stamps are genuine (more likely to be faked because of the number that were required) * Brake fluid @ 36000 * Cambelt and platinum spark plugs @ 54000 If all that's been done and you really like the car then make an offer. I'd say 16000 (max) though. (I guessing they paid over the odds not realising true worth and so in turn are trying to get an uneducated buyer)
  16. Maybe worth a read of the FAQs so you know the difference between a jap and UK model; sure you don't want to be disappointed after purchase. Straight-away I can see the stereo is different and there are no brembos. That said it looks pretty good for the price, so go take a look and test drive.
  17. You could also try Adrian Flux, they gave a very good price on the Leon Cupra I just sold...... but unfortunately, weren't competitive for my 350Z. Another few names: Noel Gazely, Liverpool Victoria, Elephant.
  18. £28k for standard, £30k for GT. £500 extra for metallic paint. £800-1000 discount from this available from drivethedeal.
  19. Well done, bet you're counting the days..... Took me a little while to get used to the extra torque and vehicle width, so took it out on some country roads and was well impressed (and more confident). I think the ESP is really good, it stops the rear end breaking out which I was previously concerned about, having come from front-wheel drive vehicles, and since the 350 is known as a drift car!
  20. Looks like a good buy Bought mine about 3 weeks ago, basically same but rear parking sensors, no tracker or rear tonneau, only 12300 miles and 13 months newer...... but nearly £3000 more (presume yours is a UK model)
  21. ^bump. Any other Nissan dealer prices?
  22. Any one recommend a dealer around the midlands area? Mine's due it's second service in a couple of weeks, and I've phoned around a few and yet are getting quotes £250+ Holdcroft said £260 but guess would get 20% forum discount, and another dealer quoted over £300! If it's that sort of price differences then I'll travel a bit, seems dealers round me are taking the micky.

    Bargain?

I was in touch with them a couple of weeks ago about trying to source a GT model. They tried to convince me to go for this one (and then a similar Gunmetal car a customer was looking to p/x). They seem kosher enough and pretty helpful and in my experience price is about right. Seems GT models actually demand at least a £2000 premium over standard (and up to £3000). I should know since just bought mine 2nd hand. Car was descibed as immaculate and has been reduced in price by £1000 since first advertised since they are trying to shift stock. If you like the colour and dont mind non-GT then give them a ring and view. Personally I think if you're willing to buy privately then you will get one even cheaper (standard spec, UK model). Had seen one on AutoTrader for £16250 and another £16500! Both UK, reasonable mileage, either 04 or 54. Also there was a 54 Gunmetal with third-party leather upgrade and BOSE stereo for £17750 (54, low mileage).
  24. Whoops, sorry these are coupes (unmodded) not roadsters. I'm pretty sure there's a good value blue roadster on AutoTrader though, 22ish from memory (UK). May be over your budget? If you keep a close lookout you may find one for 20k, UK model; but I think as your thought for a roadster and max 20k budget you'll have to go import.
  25. Just bought mine privately, and for that money your def get a UK vehicle. There were two 54 reg standard UK models on AutoTrader last week: Black £16250 and Gunmetal £16500. Reasonable mileage. Two 04 reg, GT models, 45k mileage - Black (Somerset), Gunmetal/Silver? (Torque) £18000 There's also a black 05 GT (rays, parking sensors) just gone back on ebay for £21,000. It's in Scotland. I was seriously considering it but got a Gunmetal one nearer to me (bit less, slightly older). BTW, he'll accept offers since it's been advertised for a while.
