  1. The time has come when I need to accept that it’s not practical to keep a car as a ‘pet’. It has only done just over 1500 miles in the last five years and in the last year only 235 miles! Not intentionally been out in bad weather since 2010!  I don’t NEED to sell it and if I had a double garage I would be keeping it but I don’t actually think it’s doing it any good to be just stood there.  So, if it takes time to find someone prepared to buy it for what I believe it’s worth then that’s fine by me.  This car is as original as you will find (other than leather retrim).  It’s the launch year in the launch colour.  I would love it to go to someone who would keep it as a future classic, but sadly that’s beyond my control!  Details as follows:

    • 2003 350z (fairlady version S)
    • 84k (had less than 5k on when purchased and was obviously a Japanese person’s weekend toy)
    • Personally sourced and imported for me as a grade A car in 2007 by Jurgen Vallons, JM Imports (the first zed he ever imported).  JM Imports handled all of the ESVA work, the Thatcham Cat 1 approved alarm, the undersealing and bespoke leather seats.  All of the clocks have been changed to UK and you wouldn’t know the difference.
    • Daily commuter from 2007 to 2010 and since then has been a garaged second car.
    • I have all of the original import paperwork including receipts, original Japanese documents, handbook, service history, owner’s manual etc.
    • 3 original keys including valet key
    • Bespoke leather seats with contrasting orange trim
    • Thick 350z carpet mats in front and also in the boot
    • Vertical tonneau cover and cargo nets
    • 18 inch unmarked original wheels
    • Body coloured rear wheel spats
    • Brembo brakes
    • Xenon headlights
    • Lip spoiler
    • UK OEM exhaust (Japanese OEM exhausts have baffles to make them quiet due to Japanese noise restrictions)
    • New rear tyres with almost no mileage on them
    • New battery
    • Pristine engine bay
    • Electric folding wing mirrors
    • Professionally Ceramic coated by Rhodium Detailing (body, wheels, glass).
    • Zero rust
    • All of the original accessories e.g. Spare wheel jack, tool kit etc untouched – including 2x spare mirror glasses RRP £80 each.
    • Tonnes of history and all receipts and MOTs in a large folder
    • Serviced in May 2023
    • MOT until end of May 2024 (has only ever failed an MOT on light bulbs and number plate spacing which can be checked online)
    • Vehicle tax is £255
    • The only small negative is a ding on the bonnet from a stone strike and some stone chips which you would expect on any car of similar mileage.
    • I will upload some more photos i.e. interior, engine bay etc. at the weekend.

    £8500

  2. For Sale on behalf of another member who hasn't had her zed for a number of years.  Her car was damaged down one side, so the wheels are from the undamaged side of the car only.  They are as shown in the photo taken yesterday and look unmarked.  Located in Huddersfield. £50 per wheel.  No tyres.  Strictly collection only.  I can vouch for Fiona, she is a good friend of mine, hence my username is on the photo.

  3. I've been a member of this forum since the year before I got my z (2006).  I can't remember the last time I came on here as mainly use the facebook group but just thought I would check in to see who's still alive!  Still have my z, can't part with it, even though now it only does about 500 miles a year and never sees rain if I can help it.  It's now 16 years old and has not really missed a beat - failed an MOT once for a lightbulb and miss-spaced number plate!  Still in fantastic condition and worth more than it's 'book value'  if that makes sense, so will continue to live in my garage apart from the odd sunny day.  I'm still not bored of the way it looks and still don't see many around.  I spotted a guy in Market Weighton where I live last week, riding a push bike, wearing a 350z t shirt!  I would have given him a wave but sadly I was driving my clio!  Anyway, hi to any other remaining OGs! ( would add a wave smiley but I've been gone so long I have no idea how.....:-))

  4. I'm looking at the Japan Racing JR3 or similar Rotas - I've seen the colour of them in the flesh at Tarmacsportz but pictures of them online in GM seem to vary very much and I'd really like to see them on a sunset (or any similar wheel in GM) because I'm so undecided! Silver was my first choice but hard to get hold of.

  5. If anyone has a sunset with gunmetal wheels can you post a pic up? I think I'm set on silver but Tarmac has some I like that are only available in GM but I'm just not sure without seeing them on that colour car.

    Thanks peeps. :)

  6. I had mine replaced quite a while ago. When driving over a certain speed it whistles!! I told auto glass who said they can only do a road test at the speed limit, therefore I live with the whistle!

  7. I've got a fiat 500 which is only two and a half years old with approx 16k on the clock and still under warranty. It's got an issue whereby the engine light comes on and it goes into limp mode - always when pulling out of a junction, traffic lights etc. Yesterday it did it as I was crossing an extremely busy A road which could have been disastrous as I struggled to get across. Anyway, long story short - booked into Fiat dealer and they have said that I will have to pay per hour for diagnostic testing even though my car is under warranty. I will only get this back if it turns out there is 'work' that needs to be done. Does that sound right? And if they decide an engine reset or something similar needs to be done does that constitute warranty work? I'm a bit fed up about this as I would expect with a new car to not have to part with a penny for something like this!

  8. My mate had the wheels refurbed on her mini, I borrowed it for a few days after and all was fine. Her son then drove it the day after I gave it back and one of the wheels came off on a dual carriageway! I think it's more common than you realise.

  9. I've been through more than my fair share of trauma in terms of relationships and have every sympathy with all the issues within it. I have to say though, that although I am not an everyday visitor as I used to be, the forum has never felt so one sided to me. And expressions like c*nt with a c*unt are not something I have been used to seeing on here - Pistonheads maybe, but not here.

But hey, perhaps it's my time of the month!

  10. I have read through the majority of this and you've really been given some great advice. A clean break is definitely for the best including for the little boy and what Ekona says about getting over it - well yes, you will eventually. We all do and have (some of us more than once). The one thing I have to take exception to is the 'women bashing' that's been said in this thread. We are not all 'like that' just like not all men 'are like that'. Some people sadly prefer to live in a rubbish relationship and wait until they find their next one before moving on. Men and women both do that at times and I would hazard a guess that more men do it actually, but I could be wrong. I for one left my marriage to be on my own with a seriously reduced lifestyle and was much happier for doing so.

Yes there are some horrible people out there but please don't give up on there being some decent ones as well. And as said before, you will be fine.......eventually.
