  1. cool i already drink alot of natural smoothies and get a free portion of mixed fruit at work every thursday, which i eat over the next few days.

Ive mainly just concentrated on cutting out as much carbs as i can from my diet.

Hoping the protein should help out once i up my regime.

    thanks for the advice :teeth:

  2. Cool ive cut most of my carbs out, only small amounts of bread for breakfast if at all, no potatoes or pasta. I just fill my plate with broccoli at tea time with some lean meat. Im not adding any salt to meals either, no booze or fast food at the moment too although i did have abit of kfc chicken on friday..

Im just trying to increase my distance running now for my 10k run and i think alittle protein could help out.

Im about 210lbs at the moment so how does that work out if a protein bar has 22gs of protein?

  3. I'm with the obsessive compulsive Zed washing disorder team!

Wash every weekend if time and weather permits - wax about every 4 weeks! Give it a proper going over though!

Wash and wax mine every weekend. Gets the whole shabang every 2-3 weeks. Used a Electric polisher this weekend that i got from Aldi came up trumps though. Bargain for £13.

Aha! I was thinking about getting one of those also - so you recon its ok? But I thought it weighed a tonne when I picked one up?

Do you know if the pad sizes are a standard size - i.e where do you get more once those are used up? (sorry questions questions)

Its the first time ive used one, i know what you mean about the weight but it didnt seem that heavy while i was using it, you dont need to put any pressure on it, just help it glide over the panels. I only used it to apply my paint cleaner and polish, i still took the products off with a micro fibre and applied my p21s with the applicator you get with it. To be honest it did that good of a job i found it harder to get the product off with the microfibre. Took alot more rubbing anyway.

Not sure on the pad sizes, as i said its the first one ive used. They are about 8-10" wide once stretched over the polisher, i think there about average size and you can order more from the card thats in the box or from the website. I'll probably look elsewhere if they try to charge you an arm and a leg. The polisher is pretty much identical to the one halfords do, and the halfords one got great reviews however the Aldi one is over half the price. Try it if you dont like it send it back. Aldi have a no quarm 30day policy ;)

It did that good of a job i dont think i'll need to polisgh it again for a few months where before i probably would have done it every 3 week. I'll jutst use it now to take my wax off or something until i think its time to polish it again. certainly makes things easier.

Applyig the t-cut with the polisher may also help.

I dont know much about polishers so please dont take my word as gospel  all i know is that my car really did come up trumps. Much better than i could have done by hand..

  4. Sweet would love to start training back up again but just dont have time because of uni and rugby just now! But atleast i know not 2 mess with you at any of the meets lol :lol::lol:

lol trust me im the least scariest person youll ever meet i coulnt fight my way out of a paper bag

At last he speaks some sense :boxing:

  5. +1

I think everything has been said. I certainly like the idea that you can back up the warranty with your own workshop. Your reputation and customer service is 2nd to none so it would inspre me with confidence to buy from you.

  6. Sinbad - 35mpg is easily achieved from my experience and thats from a real mix of driving.

Mark - The 230 engine in the new Clio would be perfect - its just what the slightly chubby new clio needs in my opinion. I'd be surprised if Renault ever did it though as i think their Megane 230 R26 sales would be seriously affected!

Mmm im not too sure, my friends 182cup was only giving him around the 26mpg mark which has the same engine. You'd have to be doing just motorway miles to get 35mpg id imagine. No point in having a performance car if yor worried about fuel.

  7. did you factor in the forum discount?

    From sky?

Yes, along with trying to use the discount from another forum too. I just re-rang A-Plan up and without quoting any discount numbers they beat it hands down along with other quotes i had.

  8. I used Keith Michaels - Sky were not competative when it came to me and my import but I've heard good things about them from others so worth a try. RAC were also very good for imports. It's one of those things where it's down to so much more criteria than what car you've got that you have to shop around for yourself.

    +1 on the Sky comment

  9. Hell no...

I'll agree to disagree, but on the whole Liverpool are playing boring football, tonight aside. It was rather refreshing to see him go with two up front, but jesus, in the first 25 minutes they were lucky to see the ball. It could have been so easily a different story. The Hyypia header lifted Liverpool and changed the game.

Looking at Benitez, it seems to have taken him all season to finally realise that radical squad rotation will not win the league.

Inter got a man sent off in the first leg after about 25 minutes, the same player was banned for the second leg. Imagine that was Gerrard or Torres... wheels, off and wagon spring to mind.

Re, 2005, you were 3-0 down... are you saying that there is not any luck involved in coming back from 3-0 down :headhurt: ...oh and another dubious penalty. Nuff said. ;)

As in my first post, Arsenal play awesome football and yes we hardly touched the ball in the first 25 mins granted

I also agree that its taken Benitez all this time to find a settled team/formation. Infact I think we would of been better off tonight sticking with the usual formation/lineup as Gerard was beyond wasted on the left!

Yes materazzi got sent off in the first leg but he is no where near as important to inter as Gerrard/Torres is to Liverpool, maybe if Ibrahimavic or Stanjkovic had been sent off then maybe. Materazzi being sent off is the equivalent of Carragher getting sent off, e.g we have people that can fill that gap....they are not match winners.

RE...2005 there was no luck involved. We were 3-0 down deservedly and then deserved to come back 3-0 in the second half ;)

    Well said that man! :teeth:

    +1 awesome game :thumbs::teeth:

I actually agree with John Barnes on this one, Sarnie your right ;)

  10. Those recaros are pretty comfy and supportive - i had them in one of my old cars - the only thing is that its not real leather on them, instead its a vinyl covering.

Have you thought about a Renaultsport 182 Trophy?

Same seats as the R26, lightweight Speedline Turini's and Sachs adjustable dampers as standard. Will fall into a lower road tax bracket than the others your looking at, will return an easy 35mpg combined, and you can have a mint 55 plate car for under 10k. Considered by Evo magazine as the best hot hatch produced.

I love the Trophy but an easy 35mpg is alittle optomistic.
