  1. Front bumper - Bent & Cracked. Rear bumper - Same. Exhaust pipe - Bent. Door Mirror - Missing AFAIK Side Skirt - Bent. Possible damage to the Driver's front body panel, not too sure though. I was quite surprised at how well she had held up. No idea on damage to suspension and/or wheels, they were stuffed with grass and mud.
  2. Leeds born & bred Moving away from BD4 to our new brand spanking house over in Whitely mid October, which incidentally reduces my insurance premium by almost £1k!
  3. From what I can remember, it stepped out one way, I over-corrected it, then she bit and spat me off the road (sideways(. Having travelled along wet grass for 30-40m, I had collected enough earth to slow me down. I'm thankful there were no trees and/or posts. If I had hit one, I might not have been reporting this incident to you in person. Had there been another car coming the other way, the whole thing would have been total carnage. Still, I'm alive and well Hope the same can be said for number 173.
  4. Thanks for the support. I hope they can fix her up. A harrowing experience, knowing you have no control at all of the vehicle. First time anything like this has happened to me. My GF is mad with me ('cause I'm sometimes not as careful as I should be on the roads), my boss is mad with me ('cause I missed a few meetings) and I'm mad with myself ('cause I'm a clown). I'm having a disappointing day! Least I'm still alive and hopefully, *hopefully*, the Z can be fixed. Goodbye 3 years no claims bonus. Cost me just over £2k for the renewal as it is (with a totally clean licence!). BD4 is not the safest place in the world.
  5. Loss of traction on a wet road = My precious Z laying helpless in a ditch. If there is a God, he was watching over me today, that is for sure.
  6. Spotted Silver '04 Z this afternoon as I nipped into the local Asda. Had a forum sticker in the rear window, but might have been for the other Z forum (didn't stop to look as heavy rain!). Nice to know there are other local Z's Got my first flash the other day too. Blue headed toward the M60 on the A56 (Irlam) Tuesday morning
  7. Keep it in. Don't see much point in removing it. I got one a few weeks ago and think it's "proper bo".
  8. Thanks for the welcome fellas. I'll get some pics up once she is gleaming after a weekend fettle
  9. UY GT4 reporting for duty Fantastic car, so pleased with her. Seems to have an addiction to Optimax though Dig that engine noise! Pics over the weekend (prolly).
  10. I am not yet in possesion of the vehicle, so not sure of that. Car is down in Kent anyways Long way to go but worth it for the spec (Sat Nav, parking sensors etc) I've already checked the registration mark with WoREoD and it doesn't show as being a previous forum member's car.
  11. A fine idea it is too Stephen_G also has a Z from ccuk, as does Bells-O from memory.
  12. I WANNA PLAY UNREAL TOURNAMENT! I'M GONNA KILL ALL YOU BITCHES! Had me in stitches for a while. If it's real then really it's not good to laugh 'caus the kid has some issues But still......... ROFL
  13. Reminds me of me in a way, except I'm not German........... http://www.boreme.com/boreme/funny-2006 ... kid-p1.php LMAO
  14. I am told the car is "showroom" condition, but I'll reserve judgement until I've seen it myself PS looks like a good idea, considering the amount of motorway driving I do, which has taken it's toll on my poor Celica. I'll have a further look around their web-site and see what's what
  15. That was my thought at the time, when the guys at Nissan Birstall were pushing the system. I would however have argued the point if I had bought new and had this system applied only to get chips at a later date. I am pleased people in the know are happy to protect against theiving dealers!
  16. I didn't realise that's all it is The Meguires system looks more involved than this! Majority of the cost with Nissan then is labour and profit. Maybe I should just find a top-notch valet shop and have it done by the Pros, rathen than me mess it up Do we have any recommended valet/protection specialists in/around Yorkshire? Thanks for your help with this guys
  17. Thanks for the quick response I can see how Paintshield is most likely a better protector than the wax system, but I'm not sure this is the solution I am after. Paintshield only protects the front section from what I read, where-as the Nissan one is all over. Not required for protection granted, but I understand the wax gives an all over coat which also repels dirt and brings the car up gleaming after a simple wash. All over metallic is protected also if you believe the sales blurb. Unless I've been fed some BS, the Nissan system I'm told is guaranteed for something crazy like 10 years, during which time stone-chips and the like are considered warranty. Furthermore, the Nissan system has interior protection applied to the seats which repels any spillages and make the seats easier to clean. I am sure Paintshield is the mutts (web-site does a good sales job), but I'm after all over protection with interior also.
  18. :bye: Hi 350z-uk.com, I am currently a Celica T-Sport owner but that is all set to change at the weekend (hopefully!) when I collect my yellow GT4 My intention is to get the protective treatment inside and out (cannot remember the brand name). I have a quote from Nissan Leeds to do this (£300 give or take), but I figure they use a Contractor rather than do it themselves. Anyone know an independant specialist local to or in Leeds who can do this for me? May also get the missus' A3 done as well, dependant on price of course.
