6 weeks ago I sold my beloved Civic Type-R not knowing what my next car would be. 2 weeks later I had driven the vx220, S2000 and 350z. Insantly fell in love with the 350z and decided to buy an import... This week went to an importer and saw a 2003 zed and loved it. Bartered and gave a deposit. Next morning phoned to get a month and year of reg for my insurance and was told it was actually a 2002, a few phone calls later and the importer didn't know if it was a 2002 or 2003. I said I was now disillusioned with the sale and wanted my deposit back, to their credit said no problem. So today saw a 2004 import so drove 100 miles to see it. First thing I noticed is that it was a 52 plate and the owner said sorry the advert must be wrong, it is a 2003 car (insant £1000 off when i started haggling). Started looking through the paper work and the car on the V5 was actually registered in sept 2002. At this point i walked away and mentioned that his advert was incorrect. Just checked the advert and is now being advertised as a 2003, he is going to **** a lot of people off.... Anyway receieved my car cleaning kit all i need is a car Ross

Good morning, quick question... Does anyone have the pioneer head unit and the steering wheel remote? I was just wondering how the remote communicates with the HU is it wired, radio or infra red? Strangly it doesn't say on the pioneer website. Thanks

What is your budget? You will be surprised how far you can travel. I went to Florida in Sept, flight, car, hotel for £450 each (3 of us) Thailand flight is £500 and everything else is so bloody cheap. All inclusive in Antiga with virgin holidays can be £600 each. Vegas in May for 2 weeks the flight was only £350 Thoughts?

Hi, I want a silver rear lip spoiler if anyone has one? I know there is a blue one hanging around but I dont want to have to respray it... Also, how has people fixed theirs, is it easy? Ross

I have search thoughly on this forum and had no luck with all my questions. I am going to buy an import 350z and will want to replace the bose stereo. I have found that you have to replace the speakers as well. Can anyone recomend speakers to fit the current setup? If this is a 6 speaker set up how do you wire a aftermarket head unit to 6 speakers? Or just give a list of kit someone has already installed will give me an idea on what is needed. Including the wiring loom and facia adaptor? I am leaning towards a pioneer unit, does anyone know how easy it is to wire the optional stearing wheel control unit in? I have seen how to fit the speakers, take door cards off etc. Several people are after the same info on how to replace the bose stereo so if all the information gets compiled perhaps we could make a sticky? The bose system has 6 speakers and to replace the head unit you also need to replace the speakers. Do you have to replace all the speakers and what sort of system is available to take advantage of the 6 speaker set up? I take it I have to get a normal head unit and then a sub? Thanks

Ah ha, thanks. You are a star. dam head units. The more modern a car the trickier it is install an aftermarket unit grrr. I feel sorry for the people whoes units are moulded into the dashboard.

Cheers guys... More importantly the car stereo.... In the bose units is there anything between the HU and the speakers? I am capable of installing a HU myslef just never delt with a BOSE unit. IE can I just put a new HU in and use an adaptor to plug it inot the existing wiring? I did have the Alpine 9855 in the previous car and was more than happy. Hi Guys, I am looking to buy a 350z and am leaning towards an import. I have read several topic in this forum and have a good idea what to expect. I only have 3 questions. Will an import have to have a MPH speedo in to to be road legal in the UK. I wil obvioulsy need to change the BOSE (Better Off with Something Else) stereo. Can someone advise if I can just change the Head Unit or is it more involved. I have never had a bose stereo before and i know they are notoriously difficult to change. I have read the instructions on how to take out the center unit and seems quite simple. Is it just a swap and plug job? I am going to look at an import a week tomorrow, is there anything I should keep an eye out for? Thanks for your help in advance.
