So there need cutting into shape and stuck on. Problem is that its not an even surface therefore its going to be hard to shape them i.e there are round dips, do i need to cut a hole on the rubber?? 350matty There certainly shouldn't be any rubber to go on the back of the pads. With the pressure a brake cylinder will create on it, it will just go through rubber. The shims that go on the back of the pads are usually metal. BTW, I am running Redstuff all round. But says on the instructions that i should put these thin rubber things on the pads to reduce brake noise. You saying i should just leave it out. The front pads have them already stuck on. ?????

That was my plan just a towel or bluetac. Few clips nice, so i wont be needing any tool that ive not heard of? Thanks

Pretty sure its the strut bar thing because of the type of rattling it makes. Think its the silver part of it that rattles. I hope its not the hatch thats rattling. Just pretty its coming from the strut.

Dont know what you would call it, the thing at the back with the silver Z which you can see from the rear window. Well thats rattling and its doing my head in Think its cos the silver part is a bit lose and rattles when i drive. Think it just needs a screw tightening somewhere. Anyone had this problem? And does anyone know how i can sort it? Would take it to garage but dont like them would rather stick a sock in there somewhere to stop it 350matty

My EBC Redstuff pads came today. Full set for £99 inc delivery. Thanks to bigphil. Booked my car in for thursday to get them fitted cos i dont trust doing it myself. Booked to get front and rear pads fitted costing me £56 pounds, hope that price is ok. My front pads def need changing but not checked out the rears yet. SHOULD i just change to rears to so that i have same new sets all round? or SHOULD i just change the rear pads if there need changing saving me nearly half on fitting? Is it a great deal that i run on new fronts and half worn rears? Another question how can i tell if i need new discs? Thanks 350matty

Seen a few US 350z Videos and saws they have achieved 5.4sec 0-60mph plus dont they use lower Octane fuel than us. Dont care if the Z did 0-60mph in 7sec cos the car looks amazing and love it. Not even tried a 0-60mph but im sure some people have and got under 6 sec. 1st gear would scare me with Traction C. Off.

The Oil light blinked would have missed it if it was a sunny day, but cos at night seen it. Hope all is good! 1st sports car and didnt know how fast there drink oil. But was only like 4 weeks ago dealer checked and confirmed i had plenty of Oil. He must have got it wrong cos ya suppose to wait for the oil to drain to bottom of engine, he didnt do that just checked it like 10times. Not sure about the Filter, where can i get one? Thanks guys for help.

Thanks for the replys Guys Dealer checked for me a month ago and not check til now cos of busy month. Was Low! @*!# very Low! Thats strange cos only checked like a 4 weeks ago and not driven it much from then. The lad at dealer had trouble reading DIPSTICK it and he concluded that i had plenty. Now i have Oil in i can now read from the dipstick, not 100% clear tho. I ve must have been running on low oil, like lower than the L mark. @*!# Hope my Z is ok! Looked through manual and said that if Oil light comes on i should consult dealer. It blinked on twice. Once wen i broke really hard and 2nd time was when i tested if it was cos i broke hard. Should i consult them? Shittin myself now Scared car will explode. Hope this has caused no major harm to my baby.

I broke really heavy and Oil Light came on then off! Not sure why this happened. Only thing i can think of is that i have low Oil and under heavy Braking Oil moves to one side therefore engine reads no Oil. Had Oil checked by Nissan like a Month ago he said i had plenty. Bit worried now, what shall i do? (Take it to Nissan) But best to ask you 1st. Thanks

Got a piece of Metal in my tire! Its not located on the flat side, but on side! So not sure if they can repair it The tire is like new from when i got the car. Huge amounts of tread left Its a Continental does anyone know what size i need to get for rear (18" Ray) cant be bothered going to look right now. But MAINLY WANT COST of new tire same is fine? Hope this wont scare me Thanks
