  1. Fishing line works a treat on tape, but make sure you're "sawing" against the back of the plate and not the paint. Then get ready for the hard bit, shifting the residue, I used a tar/glue remover, but you don't need to go overboard if you don't want to - unless the plate is going back on in a different location.

Tks a lot, will give the hair dryer a whirl and the dental floss / fishing wire if it proves a bugger to shift.

  2. I have just spent over an hour reading all 23 pages of this thread. Hats off to you sir, not only is the car utterly fantastic so were the updates/pictures along the way. Much more interesting than the 50 shades of arse the wife is reading I'll wager.

Would love to see this in the flesh and as per the comments from the other guys, not worth selling. You will regret it. It's way to nice.

  3. Yes they do, I recently removed 4 to fit some lockers and they looked different to the above.

Drop Cs a message, he will confirm. 😄

  4. Hi chaps,

Off to get my new key programmed tomorrow at Westway Nissan in Altrincham, Manchester.

As is the norm when I buy a car I always seem to only get one key, I didn't want to risk it this time so bought a brand new one from fleabay for £72 and Westway will programme it with the car for £54. Not bad as they quoted £280 to provide the key and programne it.

Anyone else had this done, any tips I need to be aware of before I turn up?

    Tks

    Dave
