Superb ming, makes me think about getting one.
What? A yellow J-reg Clio?.....
Isnt that everyones dream?

Hmmm, need to find me a host a bit quicker. Maybe I could whack all my eBooks on a CD and we could distrobute it that way? I have quite a lot of other books than just the one for the 300D.
I can start the chain, then it can be passed about between the members. Possibly starting it at Jap Fest if people can wait? Otherwise I might mail it out to someone who can pass it around

Don't bother with a C2 , They look pretty good, but their alittle cramped and the build quality is to be desired. Note and Jazz are much better buys.
I was thinking of the Swift too. Anyone had any experience of one?
I'm pretty sure Top Gear gave them a rave review. Excellent for playing football and ice hockey

Your parents own Blitz? Wish I had known you when I did TKD at uni, would have saved a few bob on the kit
yeh thats theirs, you should take it up again
I did fancy it. The club I went to started to let the junior train in the seniors session though and it spoilt the atmosphere as we had to always tone it down for them. So I gave up as I didnt have the time or the enthusiasm.
I bought a Blitz punchbag a few years ago, still go it in the loft. Would have it in the garage if the Zed didnt have the space reserved

grats and enjoy
tell em not to bother getting the cubby but give you cash for it - then buy the 2003 cubby which you can get the lilliput in easilly (bitch to do with the 2004+ cubby).. unless they can source you a 2003 cubby of course (went to 2 UK dealers who couldnt - and the 2004 cubby was priced at over 100 quid, I imported a 2003 cubby for 75 quid total..)
Thats interesting to know.
Obviously its an 03, so would it be best to get whats left of the cubby back from them? How easy was it to import an 03 standard cubby?
Can you PM me details of where to get an 03 cubby? I'm worried now that I will be left with an 04

I'm currently split between using the Phoco implementation in Centrafuse or my HU for my hands free atm. My HU has it built in, but doesnt work so well with my phone. Phoco looks good and can do txts etc, but I'm not sure how to get it all wired in. The problem being that if the phone rings and I'm not on the car pc (ie listening to the radio through the HU) then I have to turn it to AUX quick sharp and answer it. I guess I could get a USB radio on my carputer and then use the HU purely as an amp of sorts, but I'll work that out later!
Hopefully get my HU into the Zed tonight. Went to give it a go last night and gave up due to light. Got a bit confused as I cant seem to get the plugs on the back of the Bose HU to come off

I dont like to think of the hours I spent on the original Forza.
I believe there is a demo out on the xbox360 this week, and according to some on xbox forums its a 24 car race too.
Excellent, hope there is a demo out, I want to see how good it really is.
We need to see if we can spec up the Zeds the same as our own and have some 350z-uk races over the interweb

Well Saturday came and went....
but shes now here
Went down last night to pick her up. All nice and shiney and clean. Few minor niggles. Where they had removed the satnav (they wanted £500 more as they didnt know it was there!), they removed the whole cubby not just the screen. Its apparently on back order so I now have a nice hole in the dash. Going to plonk my lilliput 7" monitor in there to fill the hole (and hide it when parked). Also they didnt remove the GPS reciever from the strut brace (took me 2 mins to remove) and it seems they have left a load of wiring from the satnav behind. I'm going to ring them and ask to see if I can get just the cubby minus the screen so I can at least have the flip down cover to hide the hole. Also going to fit my Pioneer HU tonight weather permitting. To be fair they have serviced it, and it was pretty well valleted (sp?)
Have to say it doesnt feel super quick, I think because it is very planted and solid. Certainly deceptive with the ar*e spedo not matching the real speedo if you get what I mean. Just need to learn to drive it now!
Piccies to follow.

Basic Volvo V50 and a five door Fiesta with the balance.
Sounds good to me.

Replace for sure. I got a tyre plugged on my old clio (with a much smaller hole than that) and the little f**k blew out on me on a roundabout, first time I got her back end out! On a car like the Zed, anything other than the smallest hole I would definately replace.

I actually have a tesco mitt which i used on my old BLACK MG, and it did not leave any swirls or marks at all, so it is safe to say good to use on the 350.
It is a mitt with lots of little bits coming out of it, hard to explain and i do not know the terminology, but very good as it pulls dirt and grit away from the surface, thus not scratching your car. AND goes in the wash at 30
I think your using a microfibre mitt. I bought a pink one for my sister. I bet yours is pink!!
Oh I think I saw one of those at the weekend. It has loads of little tenticle type things. Wondered how well that would work. Bah, I have the Megs one now anyway.

Off to get some more cable then
I would guess the battery is as easy a place as any to run a cable to from the glove box compared to the other grounding points in the kit.
-
Hmm interesting. Especially as I am going to add a CarPC which is powered direct from the battery (using its own power cable), but will obviously be earthed to the chasis. Should I be thinking of running a ground direct back to the battery for the CarPC as well?
-
I guess there is no way to tell if you have bad ground without upgrading to see?
Might just have to get a kit when I get paid.

Just makes me laugh when people want prestige marques for the price Skoda
I was looking at the Octavia vRS when I went for my Leon. As the model was on the way out for the new shape they were selling the FR at a very reasonable price so I couldnt miss the chance.

You could almost earn a living buying cars like this, going at them with a Porter Cable and selling them again!
A friend of mine's Dad does this for a living. Some of the before and afters are amazing, fetching a much higher margin than a main dealership will get. He's currently going over a Pulsar, full engine rebuild. I went out in it when it had a slightly bent crank and it went like sh*t off a shovel! Dont dare think what it will do when hes finished.
-
A snob and he wants to spend £15k on two cars?!
Tell him to get over it, Skoda are very good these days and you get a hell of a lot for your money. Certainly will do better than many other makes. Remember its an Audi in discuise! My SEAT was spot on for the price, and similar Audi would have been £20-25k versus the £13 I paid. I'd certainly have a Skoda over something French (Pug/Renault/etc).

I have a Megs wash mitt courtesy of Halfrauds 3 for 2. Will be trying it out this weekend if the weather is nice and IF I finally get to pick up my Zed tonight

Good work
Those PCs are a great bit of kit in the right hands.

Doh double post - hit quote not edit

How much are these normally? It seems pretty cheap. Dont worry I dont have any money to bid against ya, just wondering

Sounds like ppl are making good progress in the carputer arena.
I just got my Pioneer HU installed, all up and running with very little problems. Only thing I missed is that the antenna is powered and I hadnt hooked up the cable to my PAC-ROEM as it didnt match any on my HU loom. Hooked it up to IGN and all is good
One thing I did notice is (a) not only did Nissan do a sh*t job removing the satnav as they left loads of cabling, ( the guy who installed it should be shot, the wiring was a mess. Glad I dont have it now as it may have blown something in the car! Just need to get the cable removed from the transmission tunnel down the middle of the seats to tidy it up.
Tomorrow I think I will attempt to run my power cable from the battery to the glove box, and maybe the AUX & screen cable through to the HU.
