  1. Cheers for the replies guys. Fortunately I am a lanky git, so hopefully getting out shouldn't be an issue! No sunstitute for trying it out tho so I will try it in the garage before getting the place Thanks again all, though further comments always welcomed
  2. Hola amigos! As above really. Am looking at renting a new place and the current favourite has no allocated parking space, but there is a garage across the road that comes with. Now, this is standard UK single garage size (whatever that is!) and it looks touch and go if the Z would fit throught the door in terms of width! Have had a look on here but not seen anything, and a search to try and find said standard garage size throws up different sizes. So, anyone manage to squeeze their Z into a single garage? Can you get out after?? Cheers
  3. Well I reset it, and then turned the ignition back to ON. Light started flashing within 5 secs so James' 5 miles was quite good! Looks like a trip to the dealer is on the cards for me EDIT - Tried again and it stayed out for the half hour drive home from a mates, so fingers crossed!
  4. You're a star, thanks James Off to the carpark now to try!
  5. Cheers for the info James - idiots question here; how do you reset it?? I may have missed that part in the manual. Cheers
  6. Hi all I had the airbag warning light start to flash on my Z yesterday. I had a search but couldn't find anything, is this a common issue? Im a bit miffed as the car is 6 weeks out of warranty and no doubt it will be expensive
  7. Seems he eats at Mrs Ming's restaurant too often as it does look like he may be carrying a bit more around! http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/42040000/jpg/_42040934_hamed_203.jpg Nice double chin on the go there!
  8. When I was at Uni in Sheffield he once nearly ran me down as I was crossing the road in an Aston - same licence plate he had on the SLR when he had the crash - he came round a corner far too fast and didn't slow at all as I was crossing the road. W@nk3r
  9. Hi all, I noticed today that there seems to be a difference of a couple of MPH between the MPH shown on the speedo and the digital speed readout on the dash pod. Eg Pod shows 57, speedo reads 60. Not sure if anyone else has noticed this or gets this? I know the difference is negligible, but does anyone know which would be the more accurate? Cheers Ian
  10. Joined the M40 n'bound at Beaconsfield to look in my rearview and see my cars twin - GM coupe (with Rays too by the look of it). I was only going a couple of junctions up but was nice to get a convoy-ette going Anyone off here? Lookin' good
  11. Sorry to be cheeky, not trying to do down anyone's work with getting all the images but I prefer the current one to any of the ones above

    Blade coupe

From the location and the time it could easily have been me but for the minor problem mines a GM, and I didn't see another Z about
  14. I found the DVD box set of all the series for 19.99 in Smiths in the sale. Their website says 49.99 now, but Im sure a mate of mine picked one up in a store not in a sale at 29.99, so moght be worth trying.
  15. Reminds me of that episode of Father Ted where they beat out that dent, and keep going. Still make me laugh. Loved those Father Ted shows , crying shame he died Totally off topic, but I found the Father Ted box set going cheap in Smiths a while ago and I'm always watching it - great series And back on topic, that roadster
  16. Nice car! Obviously we need photos of the Stratos, or we will hunt you down... lol Welcome to the site by the way!
  17. Nice car - do like the black, just a b!tch to keep clean As to the cars - cant tell the reflected one at all, but I'll throw my hat into the ring on the one under the covers with an unlikely guess of a Lancia Stratos
  18. Hey Hagar, i bought my car while the seller was in the process of the private reg transfer. The way he did it was to take the application to the local DVLA office and got the V5 section 10 back stamped with the new (old / reverted / whatever you want to call it) plate and the form allowing tax to be bought on the new plate, and a tax disc on the new plate to replace the one tied to the private plate. At that point I bought it without the full V5 on the new plate. The risk to doing so is mainly to the seller in terms of fines etc, as the DVLA still see it as your car even though ownership has passed to the buyer, as the receipt proves it has. The buyer got the full new plate V5 back 2 weeks later, we filled in our bits, sent it off and now have the proper paperwork back for all. The problem is that the biuyer wont be able to status check with the RAC etc until the plates change. It was a bit of a pain, but not huge. Apologies for the crap explanation - off out and in a rush. If that makes no sense and you want a better explanation, feel free to PM
