...I'm not denying that dealers need to make money elsewhere but there is a fine line between making a profit and taking the p*ss - Honda did not feel it necessary to charge extortionately for a glass mirror!

Ok, to continue upon a current topical theme - why do Nissan insist on charging extortionate prices for spare parts?! I give you two recent examples: I have enquired about pricing on a front plastic number plate surround for my z and was given a price of £78! I recently had to replace a drivers side wing mirror (just the mirror) - Nissan price £76! When I was running an FD2 last year I had to replace a mirror on that car and Honda charged me £17 on back-order from Holland. Thankfully, both times I have been able to source the same parts from members on here at a fraction of the price Thanks! Me thinks Nissan are treating us as cash cows, or at the very least taking the p*ss. G

which one are you secretly hankering after most, the evo or the scooby? Honestly, I'm not that bothered. The Evo is far better looking on the outside, but the STi looks better on the inside. The Evo alleges itself to be miles quicker than the STi, but looking at the power and relative weights I just can't see it myself. Given that the STi has the larger engine which should reduce the lag I think I'm going to prefer that to drive, and the fact that it makes a much better noise doesn't hurt either We may even go for a hawkeye STi, best of both worlds really. Just depends on what Jo wants as it'll be her daily driver, and I know she prefers the Evo so far. If it is an Sti you are looking at go for the Litchfield one - the 2Ltr Boxer engine is far superior to the 2.5 Ltr one. I test drove Litchfield's Type 20 - you would not regret the purchase, however the downside is the cost:-(

Wow! I have been asking myself the same question! I have phoned up 3 Nissan Performance centres requesting a trade-in value of my old car against the 370z and at a push I could easily be sold a GTR. Of the three, one centre I have been in twice - TWICE! (Oxford) and not been offered a test drive and have not received call backs. Another in Cambs I have called them more than once over the last couple of months expressing an interest - and this is from a dealer I have bought 2 NEW 350zs over the past couple of years and still no chase up! The third dealer in Watford, who I have never had dealings with before, yet alone visited their dealership, has given me a trade-in value of my current 350z and has left me voicemails - me being in Egypt over the last week has stopped him from getting hold of me - so I know where i'll be buying my next car from:-)
