  1. Apparently I'm like marmite, you either love me or hate me In real life only have one head too contrary, to some rumours
  2. Don't mention the L word. Hopefully it should be back by the xmas doo if your coming?
  3. Cheers, not everybody would agree with that though
  4. Definitely worth posting mate, definitely from a site point of view. Maybe the words Stealer and Halfrauds need to be added to the swear filter

    I need new brakes

I wouldn't go with the DS2500's again as they squeeled like buggery, which a few other members reported to. I bathed them in coppergrease too
  6. But surely its still unenforceable. Just because the host has to give up the posters email addresses what does that mean? i could sign up here as Sarnie and only need an email address such as sarnie@hotmail.com to join. I don't need to provide any personal, traceable details to join this site or hotmail. How are they going to trace the users? Email them to death??
  7. I'll see if i can answer your questions. Plenty of people will be along to add to my points/correct them : -You can get a rear bumper from nissan directly and IIRC they don't cost too much, about £200 I think but then you have to get it painted. Keep a look out on ebay as sometimes they crop up on there from time to time. -I don't think the mileage counter can be changed. I think it can be changed to record miles or km's. For example, and i may be wrong, my understanding was that if a JDM lands here with 10,000 km's on the clock it then gets converted to miles. Once the clock hits, say 20k, that would then be 10,000km's plus 10,000 miles so you would have to convert the 10k km's to miles to reveal the true mileage. Can any JDM owner confirm this or not? -The 112 limit can be taken off with a HKS speed limiter thingymagig. PM Bigphil about one of these. i think they cost about £200. there are a couple of versions to cover manuals and auto's so makesure you get the right one for your car. - Satnav and TV will work. In Japan. As soon as it lands in the uk it will be disfunctional. Usually only the screen is usable. -Importing is worth the hassle if you don't mind no warranty, have a budget of less than £14k and don't mind waiting a couple of months. Hope this helps. I agree with the super car bit in that it will never be a classed as a supercar at £50k with a nissan badge. I also agree with the cost analaogy too. Owning a supercar can NEVER be about value for money. When you buy one you know that generally you'll lose £10-£20k in a year, servicing is beyond extortionate and performance can be matched by a £25k modded EVO and the like etc. I agree that most people who own a 'supercar' would not be seen dead in anything with a Nissan badge on it. I don't think i'm in that category and would get a GTR if the price was cheap enough. That's a Top Gear description of a supercar, and I agree. But to the petrol heads, the GT-R will be a supercar. I agree but in 10 years a GT-R will be like the Supra is now. A £10k chav mobile sooped up to the eyeballs with mods whereas Diablo's, 328's and 911's are still classed as supercars due to their branding, rightly or wrongly. The GT-R will depreciate horrendously, maybe not at first, but eventually and mainly due to the badge. I reckon within 6 months or so we will see zeds for under £10k for the same reasoning. I'd have one. Not from new, not an import and not in that crappy silver. A 12 month old black UK one and I'd defo be interested
  9. Been looking at it for ages. It looked like it was missing something and i took 5 mins to notice that it has no rear windscreen

    GT-R

Nice to see you over here Personally i think the popularity of the GTR will be directly proportionate to its price. The performance figures banded around a the moment are in supercar brackets. Some of the figures quoted are Gallardo and 430 beating which is suprising. I'd be seriously tempted to 'downgrade' if it comes in anywhere below £50-£55k anything above that and your into exotica money. Early low spec Gallardo's are now in the mid £70k's with the R8 around £80k. The zed was such a success as it pitched itself, price wise, below the boxster but offered as much if not more value for money. So basically if its cheap I wouldn't give a **** about the Nissan badge, if its expensive then I'd want a 'prestige' badge on the bonnet * *Thats my longest post for months
