  1. It was a 3/4 day driving (including stops etc) last time Sarnie..... Its not a 10 min spin to the shops!
  2. Now i love the AC Cobra 427 which was damn quick anyway and I think one of the nicest car's ever.... But this thing is just stupid! http://www.pistonheads.com/roadtests/doc.asp?c=47&i=14850 "It boasts 12.9 litres of bespoke big block American V8 fed by a pair of the biggest Holley carburettors you have ever seen creates 1,100bhp at 7,000rpm with a stonking 1,299lb-ft of torque to propel a car weighing just 1,000kg." "With the optional carbon-fibre bodyshell, the power-to-weight ratio is a stunning 0.9kg per bhp and Weineck claims 124mph in 4.9 seconds and 0-187mph in 10 seconds." But they've had to go form over function with the carb intake! But would love to take that for a spin! And look no price?

Yeah but be prepared to spend more than the £60 from the other supplier to fit Toyos! Would be cheaper to just pay the £60 if you that desperate...... the "eh?" was meant for this post. you mean Toyos are more expensive? I'd rather spend a little more than change ideal profile size on the tyres No Max said in his original post that he could still get a set of Falkens (in the right size) for £60 more than his cheapest quote, the latter of which had now run out. My point would be to put Toyo's on in the correct profile will be dearer than him putting on the dearer set of Falkens (in the correct profile) Comprende?
  7. Be good if you could mate, prob be last good run out for the year so be good opportunity!
  8. Sorry mate, not a lot else I can do....... you could always book that day off from footie if you really wanted to come? Just an idea......
  9. Yep, will be playing footy every sunday from the 3rd of Sept. Yeah I have the same probs with Sats. Unfortunately it just tends to be that people have more free time on a Sunday......

  11. Because more people tend to be busy on a Saturday with other things. The roads will be busier as well and its football season, therefore I won't be able to do a Sat (playing). Why, can you not make one sunday?

Take with a pinch of salt also I think as with all mods you'd need to sort the ecu to stop it correcting the error of your ways they do look very nice though Yeah I was wondering with regards to the ECU, whether it could correct around it. I mean, if you have lightened the pulleys etc, then what would it do to compensate for it?

  16. So then, who's up for a last good spin around Wales before the end of season?? Guys, considering that the year is quickly moving on and before you know it we will all be slip sliding away in the snow I've been thinking about organising another drive out. After the success of the last day, I was hoping that we might be able to arrange another day. I was hoping to come up with somewhere new, but the year has flew past and other meets happened etc, so I personally would be up for another day driving out around wales, although maybe not get as sunburnt! We could do a similar route as it was a good amount of driving with some good scenery, crackin roads and good food! For anyone that didn't catch the original drive out day, it it's documented here:- http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1518&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 Now granted the weather is likely to be a bit more suspect, but I'll do my best to book some autumnal sun and we may get lucky. Considering where we are now, with the fact that we have Zed fest on the 9/10th of Sept, and then I'm on hols for 2 weeks end of September (i know, sorry selfish!). Therefore I am suggesting that we choose one of the Sundays of 15th/22nd/29th of October? Route would be similar to last time (will review nearer etc to see if we can add anything else in): 1) Follow M56 to end, then hang a left onto the A494 towards Mold (via A5117). 2) Follow A494 past Mold towards Ruthin. 3) At Ruthin stay on A494 towards Bala. 4) A494 comes to end at Corwen, turn right onto A5 then left at next lights onto A494 to Bala. 5) At Bala, pull into the car park next to the lake and endulge in some nice ice cream/brew/chat. 6) Leave Bala and take the A4212/A470 over the tops and moorland to both Betws-y-coed (this is the scenic road we took last time). 7) Take A5 back out of Betws-y-coed then take the B4501 towards Denbigh (this is Denbigh Moor road) 8) At Denbigh, then follow signs for Ruthin on A525. 9) Make way back up the A494 towards M56. 10) Cruise home via M56..... If the worst happens and we get a really bad spell of weather then we could always cancel it? Just thinking that it would be good to meet up again before the real bad weather hits. Give some of the newbies or people that couldn't make it, a chance to meet up with us and we can hopefully beat the 9 cars out we had last time. Open to all... So what do you think then? I'm willing to stick my neck out and organise again as long as the interest is there.... sensible comments on a postcard to.......
  17. Please keep on topic guys....... remember the thread is about group buys!

  19. Ok ..Jacko.. been in touch with Eclipse.. they cant sign me up because Orange has still got something on my line (well something like that ) will have to wait 7 days before it comes off. give me a ref no. if you want the commision etc..going to take em up on the basic package which will be OK for me at work ..apparently at my work address I'm only a stone's throw from the main exchange so will be able to get a quick speed?? Cheers Tim Yeah they will probably ask you for something like a MAC id, you normally need to get this when you going to move from one provider to the other...... If you right near the exchange, then you will be able to get the 8MB for £14.99. I'll PM you the code you need.....
  20. How do I know if I'm protected from one of those TLA's If you have wireless, you would have had to enter one of the above during set it up by entering a password (or number of alphanumeric characters). This then has to also be entered on the client to allow connection to the wireless network. If you haven't then you have no security on your network and your neighbours may well be using your broadband!
  21. Sure that Ming will confirm, but I was under the same impression, unless they are responding to an emergency and have lights on etc, then they have to adhere to the same speeding laws as everyone else. The number of Police vans I have seen speeding etc while not having lights on is scary, never mind the cars.....
  22. Tut, tut.... Odds on getting away with it? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/shropshire/5271480.stm
  23. True, but the way that word it is that its garaged "when at your home address". You would find that this will be between certain hours etc..... its exactly the same with bike insurance
  24. Nearly, its actually that Privilege, Directline and Tesco are underwritten by the same insurers UK Insurance. You will find that there is a slight variation between the three depending on your demographics and circumstances......
