  1. Alpine always go silly with their demo vehicles!
  2. And Jay is the one in the black at the back of the car dude that looks like a woman She's been working on the guns though.
  3. http://www.force4.co.uk/1955/Clarion--W ... gn=pid1955 Something like this would be fine mate. If they are being screwed into fibreglass (I am guessing as most boat internals are made of that?) then I would do three things to get the best out of them:- 1. Make sure there is some sort of gasket between the back of the speaker and the ring it is mounted in - they may be provided with something in the box, but it will stop annoying rattles and give the speaker a firm base to work on. 2. Consider using nuts and bolts to mount them, whatever is needed to get a tight fit. 3. Make sure that the area behind them is as sealed as possible. Buy a bit of Dynamat to seal up any hole. All that should cost no more than £15 and take an extra 20 minutes of time to sort out, and you'll get the best out of the speaker.
  4. We do indeed have stands at the shows. Take a look in the major yearly events section and you'll see the thread about the ones about track based shows, and the names list for the first show at Donington.

  6. Take a look at the traders links on the homepage guys.....
  7. shocking. was that a NISSAN dealer? No it was an independant Basically a Volvo dealer took it in px and then took out a 'stocking loan' against the car then chucked it in the auction, the independant bought the car and was trying to sell it, apparantly with no knowledge of the finance. He tried to tell me that it would be cleared in a month or so and to not worry about it A mate of mine had exactly the same with an S2000 that he got from an independent that Honda had chucked into the auctions. Even worse, the finance was with Honda Finance! He's still going through the courts on it. Just pay for the HPi would be my advice
  8. Not a fan of that colour though. VW did it on the Golf a while ago (or something similar) and it just looks flat regardless of what you do to it.
  9. You're more like Jester Chris.... My RayBans have been fine in there for the last few years. No soft case used.
  10. Not sure on the model, can't tell it in the pictures and I don't have it handy. I'm after a new headunit anyway as it only plays cassettes, whatever they are You have one you want to sell Rob? Had a look on that site, the speakers look sweet! Sure they can't be cheap tho so will maybe save up Unfortunately nothing to sell at the moment mate. You can get reasonable, cheap headunits for £100 now. Happy to offer advice when you come to that. The speakers are good, and not actually as expensive as they look. Do a search and see what you find
  11. Yeh was thinking of that but you know me Im more about looks, putting a turbo in it is a bonus but as long as the looks are striking Get yourself a nice little MX5 then, they're pretty
  12. Nice enough car. But the second it is wet, you will leave the road whilst not in any sort of control.
  13. OLD telephone directories make ideal personal address books, simply cross out the names and address of people you don't know. I know some people that would actually try this!
  14. I can't see the pictures for some reason - what model headunit is it? If you want stuff that will actually sound ok, take a look here..... http://marine.jlaudio.com/
  15. Yeah, the lad next door to me does it. He trained, and then went to a closer garage where he rents the space. It was a space before he went, so both sides gain from it.
  16. Is there any way you can get a space at another mechanic's place and 'rent' the space off them? Then you can advertise and have a location for people to go until you get set-up enough to run the whole show yourself? It is a shame it can't get up and running.....
  17. And let me know about the exhaust if you do... But I'd rather you didn't sell it and you joined us on track again.
  18. Nice one, a more formal Welcome to the club
  19. That would be useful, then we'll know if we need to try it out.
  20. When someone has the picture, can they please post it up here so people can see what they are buying? Thanks.
