  2. Im running the Injen CAI on mine. Looks and sounds awsome. I've got it configured to the low setting with the filter behind the front bumper grill. You can also make it short and have it sit where the origonal airbox is. Very happy with it.

    Bodykit fitting

Cheers Stew, The kit is Nismo style so I will be going with an experienced body shop. There is one I have found that is not far from me. They have done quite a few Redline magazine cover cars. They quoted me £1100 fitted and painted over the phone. Is that a resonanble price? I wonder if that might go up when I show them that I want the headlight washers keep in it. It doesn't include the spoiler either.

    Bodykit fitting

Does any one know of a good bodykit fitting place around the Bath or Bristol area. Happy to travel a little bit for something good a a decent price. Also, what is a resonable price to have the NISMO front bumper, side skirts and rear spats fitted and painted? Just want to find somewhere that wont mess anything up and wont rip me off! Cheers for any advise
  6. One last reminder everyone One very last reminder everyone. Choptop if your willing to delay until the 3rd or 4th weekend of this month im home for both of those. Where in Bristol you based? I guess I should update my info.....I live in North Common now.
  7. Whoh, only just looked at this. I would catch up as thats only round the corner for me, but unfortunatly im having to work in Ireland until the 16th. Im usally only home for around 10 days of each month so may not be able to do first sunday of each month. A friend of mine lives in one of the new housing estates in Corsham so im round there regularly when I am home. Hopefully more of us in the south west can meet up soon.
  8. I had my drivers side wheel bearing replaced about 5 months ago. Started with what you say your sounds like, a louder than normal road noise which turned into a grumble especially when tuning left. The dealer diagnosed it quickly and had the work done within 4 days. Car was back to normal. Cost me about £250 but they did fit my aftermarket brake pads as well. From memory the parts cost in the region of £200 plus labour!! Prices may differ depending on where you are. Hope that helps.......
  9. Got to be the little things that let it down if anything, IMO.
  10. Cheers DJ, got there in the end!!!

  14. Hey guys, There are a few things im thinking of buying for my car. These are: 1.Nismo Exhaust 2.Nismo body kit 3.Nismo 19" wheels Does anyone know the best place to go for these things? I guess it would be easiest to get it all form the same place, but if the prices are better by going all over thats fine. Is a dealer an option? Or do they price things far to high?

    New rear tyres

    New rear tyres

Iv'e got to the stage now where I need to replace my rear tyres. I guess a couple of things are going to influence my decision here. 1. Can you mix tyre types? For example if I decide not to go for the Bridgestones can I have Bridgestones on the front and another make on the back? 2. Are the RE050's considerably better and worth paying a fair bit more for over the RE040's? 3. Can you just replace the two rear tyres and not the front? Wasn't sure if this would play havec with the traction control? 4. What speed rating are they supossed to have?
  19. Blade Coupe parked outside Argos at Emerson Green in Bristol. Wasn't in mine unfortunatly.......so not carded.

    Ferodo Pads

Had the DS2500 on mine now for a couple of weeks. Thanks for your advice Phil on the bedding in, worked a treat. Absolutly awsome.... A noticible difference from the standard pads. Anyone needing new pads soon, go for these.
  21. Hey guys, Does anyone have any good gen on the new updated 350Z model due out soon? There doesn't seem to be anything on the Nissan website. So far I have only managed to find this info and these pics: Nissan to reveal all-new model in Geneva Monday March 5, 3:36 PM Nissan plans to show a new concept vehicle and a revised 350Z on the Geneva motor show floor. The big news is in the form of the new concept - yet to be uncovered - and Nissan remains tight-lipped. The company claims the new model will "reinforce the company's profit and growth aspirations in Europe". We'll be there to tell you if the automaker looks to reach its goal. What we do know is that there have been extensive mechanical revisions made to the flagship 350Z sport coupé. Nissan has fitted nearly 80 per cent new engine parts to the 'next generation' 3.5-litre V6 engine, boosting power to 309bhp at 6800rpm and torque to 264lb.ft at 4800rpm. Nissan claims to have achieved this by employing a wider operating range for the variable intake and variable valve timing systems, as well as a common length exhaust manifold to reduce back pressure. Those changes supposedly act to boost low and mid-range torque. The introduction of a second knock sensor, an asymmetric piston pattern, improved cylinder cooling and iridium spark plugs are said to improve efficiency of the ignition cycle, while an increase in compression ratio from 10.3 to 10.6 has been key in liberating more top end power. Engineers have also increased maximum engine speed by 500rpm to 7500rpm via a larger crank journal and crank pin. At the bottom of the engine, a ladder frame has been added to stiffen the crankcase and reduce vibration. Despite these changes, weight and fuel consumption are said to remain unchanged, but the engine's centre of gravity has been lowered by 15mm. This is likely to further improve the car's already renowned composure around bends. The 350Z has also seen a change in standard tyre fitment and is now equipped with Bridgestone Potenza RE050A's, a tyre Ferrari uses on some of its models. The 350Z's bonnet, subtly redesigned to accommodate the new powerplant, is reminiscent of that of its forebear, the iconic 240Z. Three new exterior colours will be offered: Temper Orange (said to contain a subtle green 'flip'), Precision Grey, and Night Blue. These will complement a new 'frost grey' interior trim, whose pale tone is meant to add a touch of sophistication to the car's interior. Active headrests have also been fitted to the seats to minimise the chance of neck injury in a rear impact. Sales of the revised 350Z will begin in the UK in May. We'll let you know what the new car in Geneva is as soon as the covers come off!
  22. I had my clicking rear axles sorted. The car went into Platinum Nissan in Box for half a day, they found that there was a problem, gave me the car back by lunch time and arranged a convienient time for them to have the car back to do the work. As it turns out the work was actually done after the warrenty had expired, but because the problem was found before, the work was carried out for free. A good result from a nissan garage.
  23. Hey guys, The other day I had the airbag light start flashing as I was driving along. It now flashes permanatly. The car is in for it's 27K service next week so it will obviously get looked at then. Was just wondering if anyone has had this before? What it could be? Any idea of costs to fix it? Also the brake pads will be due for a change very soon. Has anyone had experience with putting Red Stuff pads on? Does it make a noticible difference to the braking? Cheers Nick
  24. Oh dear, what are the government thinking!!! Singed....
